It was pretty hectic when we went, on a Easter Friday brunch. Still the food delivered was nicely done, most of the staff were quite nice, some more visible stressed than others and/or less patient. It was a hectic day though. Great weather for it, and decent harbour views. Nothing too special, but still a decent place to venture.
Bit surprised this place hasn’t got higher views. Positioned in a great location overlooking the Harbour. The seafood options on offer were great with the paella definitely a match winner. A bit pricey for the portion sizes but overall definitely worth checking out as a visitor or on a day out in the city.
Nice cafe. We came for breakfast after watching the dragon boat racing at Darling harbour. For sure we paid tourist prices. But the breakfast was good and we found shelter from a torrential rain. Service was quick and friendly, ambience was very nice.
We dined at 1:00 on a Saturday afternoon. It was busy, it there were tables available. We were seen immediately and seated straight away, sitting at the front, with a wonderful view of the harbour. The menus arrived immediately, closely followed by water and glasses. The beverage list was extensive. The menu was spread Uber a number of pages and was well illustrated. There’s more in offer than fish and chips - e.g. pasta and wings. The platters looked unbelievable! Bring friends. My beautiful wife ordered the fish of the day and I had a seafood basket. Our drinks came quickly and the food was at our table in shirt order. It was hit and unbelievably delicious. Everything was fresh and tasty. The calamari and octopus weren’t rubbery and the fish feel apart. The chips were a great accompaniment. The staff were very polite and helpful and were more than happy to provide a takeaway box. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed and there was a heated area. The was a wonderful experience. Edit: we went back for the platter. It took our appreciation of this place to new heights. The food was served faster than I thought. It was again fresh and unbelievably tasty. Three of us managed most of the platter, leaving only the chips. It was worth the wait - believe the hype.
It is my favourite place since 2003, last visited before Covid in Nov 2018 and just visit for family holiday on Oct 2022. Good fish and chip and the seafood platter. Sad to know they will close this November 2022 due to the Darling Harbour mall rebuild. all the best for Blue Fish and thank you for all the good memory
We came out of the maritime museum and had lunch here. The clam chowder was so good we decided to come for dinner the following night. We had a BBQ seafood platter. One of the best meals of our holiday. Staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
Surprisingly very good. Friendly attentive service, beautiful views and excellent Fish and Chips, as well as the Seafood Paella! Was a bit apprehensive about the lower ratings, but so glad we came and dined here! Highly recommended for a delicious meal!
We ordered the giant seafood platter and 6 oyster Kirkpatrick. Overall it looked great however the price you pay vs what you get wasn't that good. The giant seafood platter was 500. Oysters were small and disappointing. The lobster was quite nice.fried seafood was dry.
Nice restaurant by the Bay. Ordered the best clam Chowder in Sydney. Dough was fresh but chowder was quite blant. Seafood paella was nice but was salty so can't really enjoy the real taste of the dish.
Food was average, but the service needs improving. One of the dishes I ordered arrived 30 minutes after I've eaten the rest of the food.
