At The Blackburn Vet it’s all about pets! Our patients come first, that’s why if we don’t respond immediately it’s not because we don’t care, we are just busy caring for those that needs us most of all.

Please note we are unable to offer medical consultations online. For all questions concerning your pet's health we would prefer to speak with you in person so we can ask questions and evaluate your pet’s health needs appropriately. You can contact us on 03 9897 4222.

Our healthcare team would love to hear from you no matter how trivial or significant your concern about your cat, dog, rabbit, guinea pig, ferret, rat, mouse, reptile or bird maybe. We would much rather speak with you than have you worrying unnecessarily at home so please don't hesitate to contact us.

Our Facebook page is a place for Pet lovers to interact with us and with one another. Blackburn Vet Centre would like to protect the integrity of this community. We ask that all comments and uploaded images remain both relevant and respectful to everyone.

Have been a client for many years have had a total of 9 animals cared for by this clinic. You become part of an extended family. I have had nothing but high quality professionalism mixed with a family touch. Always feel welcomed how ever busy they are. Highly quality care throughout the ups and downs of pet ownership.

Bought a dog from the area and had it scan at the vet by Sarah, she help out in the biggest way and we are very greatfull.
As im from the west side of melb we need more people like her.

Extremely dissatisfied. I attended with my dog to have a small bump looked at and possibly removed from his head, if recommended. Incidentally, the bump happened to go away relatively soon after. I was quoted over $700 to remove it, which in itself I have no problem with if that's their price. However, I was told that if I signed up to their member plan at the price of $400 then the surgery would be $300, a total of $700. If I refused to sign up as a member, the surgery price would still be $700 anyway. I felt pressured to agree to this despite declining numerous times, and I was also pressured to have my dog's teeth laser-cleaned which I declined. Saying no once, even twice should be enough, after that it started to feel quite unpleasant and ridiculous. I understand that this is a business however I was surprised that, in my opinion, I was subjected to high-pressure sales tactics. I would have happily paid the quoted price for the surgery however I was very unimpressed with what I felt were efforts to pressure me.
