Good place to find most anything. Centrally located in the CBD. Floor staff are helpful if you manage to find any. i had a very unpleasant incident with one of the staff last time I shopped here. My card was out of money and the till got stuck. When I called the person South Asian over to assist he made a very weird gesture and said out loud “your card is having no money” in a very insulting way insinuating that these people are coming without money to buy things ‍ Staff needs training to leave their attitudes at home.
The other day I went to buy a game that I had seen several days with a promotional poster and in the section corresponding to the ps5 my great surprise was that when I paid for the game I was charged at the normal price of 69 and not 39 like it was shown on the yellow sign and which in very small letters indicated that it was a Nintendo promotion and not the sector in which it was attached
this store has plenty more stock than other branches. great backpack so comfy and spacious
I came in to purchase something but upon checkout the item price was for online purchase only and the manager would not give it to me for the same price or price match another store. I then ordered 2 products online for store pick up, both items were in stock. Your website says "place your order before 12pm for same day collection. Orders after 12pm will be ready the next day. I ordered yesterday and it should have been ready for pick up early today. Items were still listed as in stock all day today. Now my order still hasn't even been picked by the store and won't be until tomorrow or the next day and 1 of the items is no longer in stock. So if you had honoured what your website stated I would have both my products by now but you haven't and looks like I will no longer be getting my items. Very poor customer service didn't update me until 9pm today. I could have come in and picked the items for you myself. Disappointed and will never shop here again.
Waited 30 minutes at the self service for staff to check a price. No one ever came so walked out and left over $200:00 products,thank goodness Kmart was close by. Get your act together Managers put more weekend staff on !
Great range for a mid city store. Staff here are usually nice and help you with whatever you want. It can get busy, and then the service levels might drop. Not been an issue for me so it's 5 stars from me.
It's a Big W, you know what to expect. This review is biased because I found something here that I've been trying to find for months, which is almost impossible to find in stores or online. Very excited to find it and fulfill a childhood dream. Otherwise very much as expected: clean, bright, friendly staff, good variety of products.
Ordered something from this particular store online, because I don't have time or patience to deal with the city parking and traffic. shoes came, wrong size... both pairs. They're open to 9 on a Saturday. when in, returned shoes, bought two new pair the correct size, was in and out in less than 20 minutes, and 30 minutes travel time each way. could have been avoided if they picked the correct size. So yeah, below average service for online shopping
A nice store with a good range of products. I usually order from here by click and collect: the experience has always gone smoothly and the online stock estimates seem pretty reliable. Store staff have even contacted me a couple of times with an offer for a close substitution when a "low stock" product couldn't be found or wasn't available.
