If I could give 0 stars I would!nI just had the most horrible experience in my life, I was approached at my car after making a purchase at big w Erina and accused of stealing by a male that was in normal clothes, he identified himself as being from big w's lost prevention team. He insisted that I stole some type of kids toy, saying I put it in my bag that I was holding big w bag. I showed him everything in said bag and explained I didn't know what was going on or what he was talking about. He continued to insist I stole this kids toy saying it was some sort of baby bottle or something. I told him the only thing I put in my bag was my keys. I mentioned is this possible what you saw being my pink hand sanitizer bottle and he said uh uh no it was a kids toy bottle. He then said he would have to get someone else out to the car park to talk to me. A lady then came out, also not wearing any kind of uniform, just plain clothes and was saying that I did steal something and that when I was leaving the store, the workers called out for me to come back. At no time during me checking out did anyone say anything to me. I walked passed the worker lady at the checkout and politely said see you later. She said it back with a smile. The lady at my car then proceeded to say she needed to see my licence which I happily obliged and showed her my licence. She then proceeded to take a photo and they both walked away saying that they will be speaking with big w. I am absolutely appalled at the fact they are allowed to approach people at their cars and accuse them of stealing with no evidence. I was so anxious and upset I was shaking and just overall so overwhelmed by this happening. I ended up having an anxiety attack after they left and was balling my eyes out. My partner and mother in law, went into big w to make a complaint and the store manager did not take it seriously at all. My partner and my mother in law asked for an apology and they were told they could not apologise.
Was at Erina Big W today and encountered a very rude staff member. My friends and I were looking at a box on a pallet and was told off by Kristie for moving boxes. She stated it was unsafe for us to be looking at the boxes. I tried to explain that if it was unsafe, the pallets should not have been on the shop floor without the clear wrapping around it to keep the boxes in place. I would suggest big W not leave pallets unattended on the shop floor, or fill small amounts at a time. When I used to do store filling, all pallets had to be off the shop floor after the store opened. I hope the area manager can educate staff on filling and customer interaction.
Staff are rude, I suggest buying technology from someone who will help you if it's broken or a fault. Even with warranty the staff will tell u they can't help and congratulate you on owning $120 paper weight since it won't work and they won't help resolve it. I will never return to a big w
It’s a great store but it’s not exactly as neat and tidy as the usually are. They were clearing end of season so there were a lot of specials. It’s a rather large store and have a lot of larger sizes in stock also. It’s definitely worth a visit and the use the Woolworths rewards card system here also.
Workers are disgusting with how they treat customers my brothers girlfriend went into big w today and was returning pants that she had got and continued to look around once she had left and said goodbye to one of the workers a Lebanese man followed her to her car and started accusing her of stealing which if you know her she wouldn't do that she had showed the man her bags and he still wouldn't leave her alone mind you she was in her car and lots of ppl around he than proceeded to get another worker out they asked for her licence which she showed they took a photo and still argued and accused her which is disgusting for workers to do especially to follow her to her car and proceed to make her feel unsafe and uncomfortable and if they did believe she shoplifter why couldn't they pull her aside away from customers and not trap her at her car absolutely disgusting Behaviour by big w erina workers
