I would give no stars if I could. I ordered a large sofa back in the end of June and was told that the wait for it to be in store for us to collect was 4 weeks. We waited patiently those four weeks to find out couch was not ready to be collected yet. No one had contacted us until we emailed and was told that the original one we bought arrived broken and that they had ordered another one for us. They said it would be ready for us mid September. It’s now almost the end of October and I have gotten no reply from my emails and still no couch!!! It’s been months!
We have purchased a couch at the Whangarei branch almost 3 months ago, we we’re told at first that it was only going to take 2-3 weeks to get it delivered. 3 weeks had passed and we did not hear anything back. We have to contact them directly and ask where our item was and we were told that there had been a problem with your deliveries at Napier and they couldn’t track where the cargo is and do not know where our item was. They told us that they could not do anything. A month has passed, my mum called to ask AGAIN, and someone had set a delivery date on December 3 as they were “expecting” it to arrive already. Now we receive a phone call that it’s not going to get delivered on the day they had set because the item we ordered was not in the container they are “expecting”. We are getting really annoyed and disappointed in this kind of service and no one is doing anything. We are waiting and waiting and the money we paid for is not worth it.

Purchased a bed base from Big Save Whangarei. Customer service was excellent. Salesman came to the party with price negotiations which is good to see. Product is great. Nice solid frame - good for a toddler who uses it as a play frame
In reading the reviews Whangarei Big Save is heartless, but so is the head office who don't respond to complaints. James your the first one who lied and said I would be contacted.
If there were no star, I would take that. DON'T GO THIS STORE. TOTALLY WASTE OF YOUR TIME. At time of payment they said 2 weeks delivery. Long history after this with no response or sooooo late response. Got a funny solution for my complaint pay extra $400 for buying more expensive one only after my refund request mail. Even they said they'll send the refund request form right away but they didn't!!!!! What a ridiculous store ever!
Selling very poor quality electric chairs to elderly and disabled people that then start falling to pieces after a few months and have not kept their word they gave me to replace it more than once. Disgusting and unsafe
UPDATE:: issue has been sorted- new manager went out of his way to put it right for me.thank you If:there were no stars I would have selected tgat. Extremely upset and angry. I have been mucked around and asked for refund- NEVER buy from Whangarei branch

We really loved finding someone local that stocked a great range of NZ made furniture. We purchased a couch and got quoted a six week turn around for delivery. After the estimated delivery date passed we had to call the store to find out what was happening, frustratingly they knew there had been a fabric issue that had delayed the delivery date but they failed to inform us of this - common courtesy would have been to let your customers know. A further couple weeks passed and they failed to give us any information regarding the new delivery date. We then received a voicemail letting us know the couch would arrive within the next couple of days. We called on the Friday to confirm it had arrived and got informed that it had. We went to collect the following day only to be told by the warehouse assistant the couch wasn’t there.... after the sales assistant had already spoken to us and sent us to the warehouse to collect it 5 minutes earlier! We left with no couch and no idea where it was. You appeared to have no real empathy for the fact it hadn’t arrived yet. Yes, that wasn’t your fault but telling us it had arrived when it hadn’t showed a real lack of training and management in your store. Thankfully it finally arrived the following week but we wouldn’t choose to buy from this store again, simply because there communication and customer service left a lot to be desired.
