Called into Spotlight to eye up some specials that were advertised. Besides buying the item that was on special, I also baught various craft items. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and I could cruise this shop for hours.
Got some off the shelf net curtains. Explained to shop lady what I was after and gave her window measurements. Good price and once I got home perfect fit
The staff here where so helpful for our school this year, very thankful to have caring people in our community who are willing to help our kids.
Arts and Crafts/ Curtains/Sewing: Great place to shop at. Friendly staff. My visit turned out to be less stressful choosing the right sewing machine with the help of a nice staff member assisting me with good tips and pros and cons. I was walking around the entire display of machines until she must have seen me hahaha It's funny because I certainly wasn't laughing at the time. All in all, a good shop. Fairly large too so heaps of layout for all your home making needs.
Where's the customer service Spotlight Whangarei?? The staff there always seem too busy & make u feel like u being a pain when u have to ask them to get something down for u. The guy at the fabric counter yesterday was downright rude, grumpy & unfriendly. He may have been having a bad day but hey don't take it out on your customers!! I came out of that store never wanting to go back, it ruined what had been a great days shopping with super friendly, positive, helpful staff in every other store I had been to. A little bit of staff training would work wonders, there's a negative vibe in this store & judging by other reviews I'm not the only one that thinks that, it's damaging having even just 1 or 2 negative staff on the floor, this rubs off on the rest of the team. By the way I've never posted a negative review in my life but I couldn't just ignore such an unpleasant experience
Normally I wouldn't complain but when you go in store to get 2 balloons done and the guy tells you you have to wait 30 to 40mins he has other orders....yep no worries I can wait. We were politely waiting. During his order a balloon pops no ones fault and then he tells me and my daughter to move away likes it our fault!!!! Pardon! We weren't even close by! Get a grip of yourself mate! You were rude and it wasn't called for. What sort of customer service does spotlight promote!!! Now my daughter is upset cause she can't have her balloons!!!! What a waste of time!!!!!!!! If you wake up on the wrong side of the bed don't take it out on your customers!!!
Great shop! I could literally spend hours in there. So many specials and bargins and the spotlight club card gives you awesome savings
Very poor customer service 3rd time ive been there and everytime i just put my stuff back and walk out. Staff dont acknowledge you at all, checkout lines move slow seems to take them 10 to 20 minutes to serve a customer, waited in line for ten minutes, no one said sorry for the wait or be with you soon, and than walk off when its finally your turn to be served. Dont know why it takes forever to serve customers that have just one item. Need to teach the staff some basic customer service. After 20 minutes being there was all the same customers still being served as when i walked in. Seems like your an inconvenience shopping in there and they have no care or priority to serve you. Have to give one star but would give minus if i could
