We only had a one night stay and wished for more. Most peaceful, private and tranquil setting and well equipped cabin. Clean and very comfortable queen bed. Views over the valley to Kingaroy. Very friendly and attentive hosts. Scones are great! John & Nola

Such a significant location in Queensland's history. Home farm of former Qld Premier Sir Joh Bjelke Petersen and Lady Florence Bjelke Petersen - two of Australia's most influential and giving politicians of the 20th century. The family still operates the farm and guest cottages with open arms and a friendly and helpful smile. Cottages are perfectly clean and carry the Qld country ambience with stunning sunset views across the town of Kingaroy, farms, mountain ranges and beyond. Small birdlife is a credit to Sir Joh's love of nature with local native forest regeneration in progress. Congratulations Lady Flo, John and Karryn for allowing visitors to enjoy your wonderful place.

We visited Bethany Cottages in June 2011 for a long weekend. It was a spur of the moment thing and we were lucky there had been a cancellation. To be honest, I wan't expecting much for the price as it seemed cheap compared to what many others are charging but boy was I wrong. It was fantastic. The weekend was cold and miserable but that added to the ambience as we sat in front of our slow combustion fire, drinking red wine and watching the rain come in over the mountains. They provide breakfast provisions which included juice, milk, eggs, bread, spreads, margarine, tea, coffee and some biscuits for afernoon tea. Very generous! The cabin itself was very clean and well set out. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook and there is a BBQ on the porch. The local pizza place delivers which is great if you don't feel like cooking. You can borrow dvd's from the main house and they have a huge selection. I can't recommend this place highly enough.
