Benchmark Wine Bar opened its doors in April 2003 with a vision of being the only true wine bar in the ACT. Since then Benchmark Wine Bar has proven to be the leader in wine knowledge.

Unparalleled dining experienced Must have barramundi
We had a wonderful Canberra wines evening with #McKellarRidgeWines followed by the Truffle Degustation four course meal. The evening was just awesome.
Nice food nice environment. Better than Jamie's kitchen. Ordered beef cheek and it's really nice!
Great service and friendly staff, went over and above for our 2 families on Christmas Day for dinner. The Chef catered for all food allergies and explained what the differences were. The owners entertained us throughout the evening. A must do if you are visiting Canberra or even if you live there.
Expensive beer $10 for schooner. Encouraged to have Wallaby shanks which were dry and stringy. Ordered olives with beer which came put with main course. The look of the place promised so much but delivered little. Tip to owner dont let your kids be lazy in your restaurant.
Lovely personal atmosphere
Oh what a night! Thursday night $10 cocktails cannot be overlooked. The Espresso Martini is my favourite and done to perfection. Highly recommended if you are visiting Canberra and don’t know where the party is at. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed by the price and the food is 5 star.
