Our house rules - please read before posting

1. This page is primarily for information and feedback and is not a Customer Service page. While we can find general information out for you about many things, we may have to direct individual Customer Service requests to our friendly Customer Service team via phone, email, our website or visits to our Customer Service Centre.

This page is monitored by our Communications team and sometimes it may take some time to find information you are after.

2. Social media is an important way for us to help you stay up to date and to hear from the community, but for the page to be effective we require people to be respectful. Any posts containing abusive, offensive, illegal, unnecessarily repetitive, commercial or otherwise inappropriate material will be removed at our discretion. Repeat offenders will be blocked from our page, at our discretion.

3. Please don’t put any material that contains personal information or names a specific councillor or council staff member but contact us instead on 03 5760 2600, email [email protected] or use our online feedback form here: http://www.benalla.vic.gov.au/Form/Forms.asp?Form_Id=2

If you post email addresses, phone numbers or home addresses in public posts we will delete the post to protect your privacy and others’.

4. We will generally monitor these pages during regular business hours.
8:30 – 5pm Monday – Friday except public holidays.

5. If you have an urgent customer service request, please call our 24 hour customer service line on 03 5760 2600. If you see something that is offensive on this page, please message us directly and we will manage it as soon as we can.

6. During the “caretaker period” from 21 September to 22 October 2016 prior to Local Government elections, we will disable public posting on this page, to ensure our compliance with the Local Government Act Victoria 1989 and the Local Government Electoral Act 2011.
