On the ocean walking/bike route north of Manly. Nice cafe restaurant, with indoor and outdoor seating with great views of Sydney. Menu is Italian inspired, and more original than most. Food taste and quality is excellent. Service is fast, servings are generous and staff is very friendly.
AMAZING view. I’d come here everyday just for that. Walk right in and relax. Bella Vista is one of the hidden gems in Sydney. It’s not easy to get to but that’s what makes this joint special. I had some pastries and coffee while enjoying the beautiful ocean view. The pastries however weren’t perfect like the view… It was too sweet, thick and some of the flavours just didn’t go together. Coffee was nice. However, who cares the view is great! For these reasons, I give this place 3 bears.

A tad disappointed with this place all up. More can be done with this fantastic venue, and it's sad to see Bella Vista Manly serve up terrible food in such an excellent location with great views. Coffee was good when it came out at first so I was very excited. Menu was a tad strange. No real brunch options for what is really a brunch location... it's more like a dinner menu of heavy food items. I ordered the salad and specifically mentioned that I did not want pancetta. However when it came out I noticed a few stray pieces of pancetta - looked like it had been picked off. Moreover the whole leaves and unpitted olives made for an awkward eating experience. Salad literally went everywhere. Also taste wasn't something I'd write home about. At almost $30 for this salad, it was I think the worst salad I've had in my year of having different food around Australia, including in more remote parts of Australia where talented labour is harder to find than 5min from Manly beach. The burger was fine, except that it was terribly, extremely salty. Chips were good, but struggled to undo the salt burger. Separately I noticed the men's toilet was basin was blocked. As I was leaving, mentioned it to thr wait staff in hope of someone tending to it. To my surprise I got told the wash basin was meant to stay blocked... well then!
The food was absolutely delicious! The seafood pasta I ate usually doesn’t have much flavour at other places but wasn’t chilli and had a great taste here! The antipasta was difficult to order since there was no mix of meats and non-meats, but getting some of both worked out well enough. It was a bit expensive for a cafe, but with good views and great tasting menu items, the price seems fair. My only issue was with the service. They had 2 staff only on a busy day and we needed to get their attention to order or receive anything. They weren’t as friendly as they could have been too. It’s also only accessible by car which isn’t ideal, but also not an issue
Nice location, beautiful drive to get there. Tasty food, just took quite a bit for the food to come we were six people. Recommend the calamari and marinara pasta.
Second time there remains an excellent venue. The food and beverages are top shelf would highly recommend. The view an added bonus. Thanks for the experience almost forgot the price sits well as well. Parking: Drop off easy carpark a short walk. Wheelchair accessibility: Took a group of eighty plus easy access and close parking well done.
Wonderful Pasta and Great vistas to sit and watch. I did wish the ragu came with some free bread. Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free
We had a beautiful lunch at Bella Vista this weekend. The Italian food is all freshly made and totally delicious, the service was fabulous and the view across North Head and the harbour is stunning. There is an outdoor and indoor area - we were indoors due to it being a rainy day but I can imagine outdoors would be fabulous on a sunny day.
Wonderful lunch menu. The entrees are a good size. Oysters are large and fresh. Mains are huge! We were struggling to eat both... and we are healthy eaters. Wait staff were delightful and not overbearing. Always willing to fill the glasses. The view is one of the best in Sydney.
