My favourite Cuban restaurant. Don't let its tiny ground floor entrance most seating is upstairs and bar like atmosphere put you off. I often come here especially for the rice dish which I have never come across elsewhere. Even though I normally hate olives, this dish is able to make me eat even the olives. It was my first time ordering one of their mocktails this time and it was ginormous! Wouldn't recommend their quesadilla though as I feel other places do this dish better.
We went for a drive to Manly on a Sunday and had some dinner at Havana Beach and it was an amazing restaurant. We ordered some cocktails Pina Colada’s and they were really good. We also ordered the nachos and they were amazing especially how they made the bowl with the bread. The staff were extremely friendly and the atmosphere was really good on a Sunday. I would definitely come back again the next time I come for a drive.
Some things could be done better but that does not take away any of the 5 stars that I have for them. The food is delicious enough, quantity good enough, everything fresh enough. The atmosphere is lively and casual, the serve time is on the average. Overall, nothing to rave about but nothing to complain about either.
Loved it! Upstairs seating with beach view and baywindow type seating. Friendly quaint vibe, great food- I had baked eggs for breakfast. Well priced. Friendly, fast service.I was a single diner and felt right at home.
Delicious delicious mojito, perfectly made with ice cubes, not crushed ice, so the yummy rum Havana Club 3 años doesn’t get diluted too fast. Other highlights were the chicken wings which were finger licking good, and the soft tacos. The space is perched on the second floor of a building, accessible via a flight of stairs. It was a cozy buzzy hideout filled with happy people and warm smiling waitresses. The one disappointment was the Cuban Sandwich - it wasn’t quite the real deal. Granted the bread can’t be Cuban bread, but it wasn’t the brioche promised in the menu either. The roast pork filling was moist and tasty but that alone doesn’t a Cubano make. Couldn’t quite detect the mojo criollo on the pork, and not sure what was the thick mayo-like dip served separately with the sandwich. The side of rice and black beans, however, was something I could eat all night.
Nice ambiance, view from the beach if you go during the day. Atmosphere in a week day is quite weak, food is a bit heavy and nothing really special.
Out of 80 reviews this is my first 1 star rating. The good thing about this place was the service; very friendly servers and the food came out really quick. We started with some nachos and salsa, which was reasonably good. Entree was chicken tacos and mains was chicken quesadillas. Unfortunately the chicken had an unpleasant taste and we could not eat it. I would say it was bland and possibly just a little off. Also the mojitos we're just bad and also had an odd taste. I coupdbt possibly rate more than 1 star because I couldn't stomach the food.
Visited the bar for some evening drinks a few months ago and loved the cocktails. Great ambience and friendly service. The place a great vibe.
Havana is a great Cuban restraunt/ bar. Tuesday’s they hold the famous taco Tuesday nights where they have $3 tacos which are delicious. They have mulled wine in the winter and cocktails in the summer. The service is friendly and the view is priceless!
Best chicken burger in Manly. Bar none. But be sure to out the spicy mayo on the burger and add spice Chipotle sauce.
