Hugos Manly

I do not believe it’s controversial when I am claiming this is one of the absolute best restaurants on Manly. It has it all, perfect location on the Manly Wharf overlooking the beach, great menu, great drinks and very friendly Aussie service. We keep coming back and will do that for all foreseeable future.

Cracking spot right on the wharf. Need to book to secure a place. We got lucky and got outdoor table overlooking the water and sunset - was on waiting list for about 45 mins. Staff are awesome. Not a cheap venue, esp on public holiday, but worth it for a date night. Food was excellent, as was the staff.Recommended dishesLamb Pizza

Hugos Manly Went to Manly by ferry for a walk around and had lunch at Hugos, great location and service. We didn’t have a booking and they accepted walk-ins. For cocktails we had the Tommy Gun Margarita, which was really nice, and the Gateway Negroni which was a real disappointment as it was all ice. We ate the Barata which was amazing and the Pepperoni pizza which was nice. Our friends had the Fig pizza and Avocado salad which were both very nice. #HugosManly

We drove from the eastern suburbs to Manly for a sneaky snorkel and we knew we have to eat at Hugo’s, and we were lucky enough to get a table for two without any bookings on a fine afternoon! The food and service are amazing, we got the usual croquettes, kingfish sashimi and crispy polenta to start, then a delicious fig and pancetta pizza to finish off our beautiful lunch.

My wife and l booked this 3 weeks out as that is how far we had to book to get a table. I had never been, so the ambience and the darkness initially took me aback. I need not have worried as it adds beautiful ambience to the experience. It kind of juts out into the water so the view is incredible. But nothing to compare to the food. I will start this review by letting you know that should you decide to eat here the food is incredible...and so is the prices. So as long as you just ignore the prices you will have a cracking meal. So...we started with the mixed Croquettes which were delicious. One was smoked Mozarella and the other was a spinach and something. Both delicious. We chose a 2015 Tim Adams Shiraz and it was great. For main course we both had the Wagyu Beef with chat potatoes and a side order of Broccoli and beans. Well the Beef was the best Australian cooked Beef l have had in 10 years. I cannot recall a steak that was so good. We finished with a sticky date that was equally insanely good. The other part of the experience was our waitress who was amazingly attentive right throughout the meal. She fulfilled our glasses as requires and gave us knowledgeable advise as we asked it. She wad a big part of the total experience. As well as the wine we had double shots of Bailey's and l had an Archie Rose Standard gin which is just amazing. The entire meal was under 400 and l tipped the waitress $30 as she totally earned it. To sum up it was the finest dining experience we have experienced in the last 10 years. Highly Recommended for a special occasion.

Magic as always, lovely atmosphere good waiters and beautiful location. The food is slightly too expensive for what it is but lovely all the same. Photos from two different nights had to come back!

Awesome food views wine and a great atmosphere. Staff were amazing. It’s clear this venue pays and treats the staff well as everyone of them were happy and helpful. Particular shout out to the chefs. Best meal I have had in Sydney. Good for a large group. The set menu choices were fantastic. Loved my part at Hugos

Very nice view, food is OK, potions are so small, after a entrees, bread and main, we had to order pizza. it's overly rated restaurant. Vegetarian options: Options are available Wheelchair accessibility: Good access
