Fantastic service and delicious food! Ordered off Menu Log today and got the $38 family pack $6 chips, 4 pieces of cod and 4 pieces of potato scallops also ordered a side of $3 chips and two potato scallops, I was suprised with the amount of food we had gotten for such great value! Very impressed with the quality and quantity of the food, enough to feed myself and five other people with leftovers! definitely will be ordering from here again, highly recommended :
Best fish and chips and calamari I've ever had. Sooo good batter on fish cod is light not oily and tastes great. Cal is so tender highly recommended and I'll be back again and again. Cant say how good this place is!
New management, it's not what it used to be. As soon as the new owners took over portions went smaller & prices went up. Not to mention THEY changed my order on 3 separate occasions without telling me because they never had what I ordered. That's a pain when you get home to discover that, not to mention rude. Go 2 doors down Island View good portions better value & they give you what you order.
This place used to be very average fish and chips place selling frozen and battered seafood. Now it is just terrible and expensive. Everything in the family meal was over crumbed or battered and bland. The grilled cod was coated in a tonne of flour with no seasoning and was an over cooked mess. Also expensive.
Terrible fish, I asked for the barramundi to be grilled. It came out weird. The meat was "stringy" and tough. I'm not sure if it really was Barra, it looked like it was cooked in water but was extremely greasey and flat. Tasted and smelt fishy like overdue fish. The chips were great and the salad was nice, but I couldn't get the first bite of fish down. Half way through my meal I had a visit from a rat at my table. So I left.
Yes ,BEACHCOMBER is a nice place to have lunch . Not only a nice FRESH FISH and chips but also another range of meals ,burgers , eggs , Ice cream Old fashion deserts etc .. . IT looks more like a little restaurant Including a nice terrace outside or you can eat inside in a lovely clean old style surrounding . If you seat along the windows you have that nice breeze to keep you cool if you slide them up .. The staff is really nice and you don't have to wait very long to be served but can be crowded at times . And the prices are VERY REASONABLE . I'll just make a point that they charge you a fee of $1 to seat inside Per table ??? Anyway , If you want a quiet lunch with your friends , this is the place to go . There's NO LOUD MUSIC there . All in All We'll recommend this place to anyone. We've been there quiet a few times and will keep going back.
Waited over 40 minutes just for some chips. Order number was never called out and food was cold by the time we got it. Didn't even offer an apology or reason why.
Absolutely disgusting, I have never had such a bad meal for so much money. 19th April 2017 avoid this place like the plaque. The only reason they get one star is so I can leave a review.
They didn't have the ingredients for what was on their menu. The meals were smaller then expected and served with pretty much raw onion.
I didn't get what I wanted .No mushrooms. The eggs where over done and I had to assemble my own meal. Eggs Benedict isn't that hard
