Pretty standard little pub on the strand. There is some good outdoor seating, good beers on tap, the bartenders are friendly. I had the french fries and they were cut and cooked to perfection but were a bit on the bland side for us. It's a great place for a Saturday night to sit outside and get tipsy. I will be back for sure.Food: 4/5
Great food and lovely staff. No table service which we didn’t mind. What we did mind was being asked to pay extra for some mayonnaise after ordering plenty of food for a decent sized group. That’s cheeky!

Fantastic food, fantastic service! Had my 50th birthday in the back room and it was everything I wanted it to be. The Hop House were able to cater to our dietary requirements, hook us up to our own sound system and made everything flow perfectly. Thanks to David, Christine, Jack and Ameena for an amazing night and for the regular non-celebratory visits as well. Highly recommend this place to everyone Dietary restrictions: Event platters were catered for allergies and made sure everyone could eat
I am a serious burger and pizza enthusiast, probably my favourite food. The fries had great colour but were overcooked, had no crunch, and the aioli was bland. Now the burgers were the sad part, not only did the chef forget to add the bacon to one of the burgers, the buns were flat and not toasted so immediately got soggy. This was complemented by a patty that was so proportionally wrong it had midgets laughing. I was thoroughly disappointed with the inconsistent service. I went with a group of 10 and after about 30 minutes we received 2 out of 10 dishes and proceeded to wait for another half an hour for the next 8 dishes. The atmosphere and decor was great, would recommend for a drink.

I wasnt sure what feedback to give, but because service was truly amazing, the beer and lemon cider we tried was delicious, got to be the best onion rings and one of the best aloli ive ever had.. Now the downside we got, unfortunately our chicken burgers didnt taste quite right.. first we thought it was the sauces, but then my partner who worked in chicken factories for years smelt the meat and unfortunately was past its used by date.. the barmen were awesome and refunded the burgers.. i didn't want refund for drinks or onion rings as they were amazing..unfortunately we were both up most of the night with very sore tummies for the next 24hrs.. But even with that, because of the amazing service and delicious drinks, and everyone makes mistakes, were only human..we still will be back to give you another go. I definitely could sit their all night with a lemon cider!
Best craft beer place in town but service was as slow as a slug. I won't go there for food but definitely for beers!
