Amazing place! They make the best coffee I've ever had. The food, service and atmosphere are all top notch. They are dog friendly if you sit outside ample shade from the umbrellas. We wound up there every day of our trip to Albany ;
We enjoyed an early morning coffee and cake. The service, atmosphere, food and coffee were all great. I couldn't fault them. If there was one thing I would improve, it would be to heat the coffee shop up a little, although I can understand why this would be difficult to do with a large open door area. We would definitely come back to have meal on our next visit to Albany.
Great tasting breakfast, was very busy when we arrived, though managed to get a table for 4. Our meals came surprisingly quickly nearly the same time our coffee came. Great tasting coffee and great tasting OJ. Plates were good sized portions. Recommended highly
Friendly and efficient service. Coffee was bloody good I had an ice coffee, highly recommend and will be back purely for the coffee alone, food was nice. Ordered a croissant, milkshake, ice coffee and a beef burger - the total price was just under $45 which was expensive considering what we ordered.

Staying local, we came to Bay Merchants for breakfast. And we weren't disappointed. The coffee was excellent. Short and strong. And the breakfast was tasty too. Highly recommended.

I travel to Albany once or twice each year and make this gem of a cafe my local when I’m in town - great coffee and great atmosphere. They open super early which is handy too!!
An eclectic cafe offering many options for the holidayer or local. Vibe is Chick and Chilled. Coffee was hot and smooth. The Breakfast Wrap was delicious and the Eggs Benedict with salmon too was nice, however the hollandaise needed to be in a bigger quantity as the meal was quite dry and I struggled to get it down. Definitely the place to be for a relaxed meal, coffee or catch-up. Staff were lovely and friendly. We'll see you again!
