Such a fun and different menu! All dishes were amazing - our favourite being the steak tartare and chilli crab noodles. We also had the profiteroles which were amazing. 10/10 for food, menu, venue, and staff Catered to my partners nut allergy with ease - we are sad this restaurant isn’t in Perth!
Love this place! The chili garlic crab noodles and loaded fries are so delicious, and the pink galah is a solid cocktail. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, couldn't recommend more
The exterior is deceiving. I was staying only around the corner from Liberte and had walked past it many times and thought little of it as from the outside it looked like a regular pub. However, upon deciding to check it out, it had a beautiful French style dining room with the most amazing menu. One of the best meals I had during my six night stay in Albany.
REALLY wanted to like this place…. But the food is subpar even for a small town and incredibly overpriced. Great service and the ambiance was nice.

What a memorable dining experience at LIBERTÉ in Albany, WA Passing its handsome front bar, we entered a cosy retro classic decor room where's full of interesting sounds of laughter. A great eclectic taste in interior settings. Ie, high class Vietnamese styled furniture from its feudal/ colonial days well mixed with French styled mirrors, lightings, thick velvet curtains...Its menu shows creative concept too. My Mao Feng loose leaf tea's served in a Vietnamese styled tray & teapot but cup & saucer're of Western style. All ingredients in seafood steamed boat're fresh cooked & exactly the flavours which I am familiar in Vietnamese Kitchen. Service's quick, thank you all team members. If anything I wish it could be done better, is the serving portion of its main dish. We expect it bigger portion. In Vietnam, this popular dish is called Seafood Hotpot. We also need brighter lighting for reading menu properly. Up ceilings there're many charming silky lanterns but they were not turned on the night we're in.
Great service and lovely staff, but quite overpriced. We ordered four dishes, two desserts, a glass of wine and one cocktail for $185. The dishes were quite small which would have been fine except for the lack of key ingredients namely crab, pork and marron, of which we hardly found any in our most expensive dishes. The lack of meat / seafood was very disappointing. We loved the fresh herbs and veggies, but the sauces were quite overpowering when the flavour should have been coming from those key ingredients instead. The wine, cocktail and desserts were nice. Enjoyed the ambiance however some guests looked quite uncomfortable on lower tables and couches and my partners seat was uncomfortable too. We’ve eaten at quite a few fine dining, French and Vietnamese places and this restaurant is quite overhyped for what it is.
Cool restaurant, great service, delicious food to share and some awesome wines! Had a wonderful lunch there!
First time in Albany and can't wait to go back. Not only for the amazing coastal vistas but for the quality of food at this place. The Green papaya & rice paper salad was the best salad I've ever had and the Garlic Chili Crab Noodles were delicious too. Keep up the good work!
Excellent and exciting modern Vietnamese cuisine. We shared a few dishes and were blown away by the depth of flavour in each one. The Brussels sprouts were incredible. Staff were welcoming and attentive. A destination within a destination.
