Story

Bay City Scuba, located on Victoria's Bellarine Peninsula, is home to some of Australia's most stunning snorkelling, Scuba and Technical Diving.

Port Phillip Heads and the surrounding waters of Bass Strait are home to the country’s most beautiful soft coral reefs and steep wall dives, exceptional fish life and amazing recreational and technical wreck diving. The natural diversity of this unique ecosystem gives us the ideal location for diver training as you will get to experience an ever-changing marine environment.

The beautiful, calm waters of Port Phillip Bay is a haven for this abundant marine life. With a multitude of easily accessible pier, shore and boat snorkelling and diving locations available, it’s easy to see why this area is so highly regarded and is one of Australia’s best kept secrets.

Working closely with our training partner RAID and offer a full range of snorkelling, freediving, scuba diving as well as technical open circuit and rebreather diver training programs. We are also one of Australia's Premier RAID Instructor Training facilities and offer dive professional and instructor training programs.

They are a great place to get your snorkelling or scuba gear. No matter who I've spoken to in there, they have always been great to deal with. Highly recommend seeing them if you need gear or even courses
Fantastic store, Have helped me with gear, training and getting me back into the water. The team there know their stuff and happily answer all my weird questions. Highly recommend
After numerous attempts of even getting into this place. Who’s not open during the week? I finally got to catch them open. I was met with very unprofessional and unfriendly staff. I would not recommend store was unclean and prices were very overpriced for what appears to up priced Chinese junk. The size of the owners belly would be as large as his profit margins at those prices.
Great place to buy scuba gear! I upgraded my scuba equipment earlier this year and was really impressed with Sara and John’s knowledge and expertise - when you’re buying scuba gear knowledge and experience is far more important than getting the cheapest price. Highly recommend!
Absolutely love this shop, lots of gear and plenty of great knowledge to go with it, the staff are super friendly and happy to help you out and get you sorted for the next dive, definitely recommend.
The Staff at Bay City Scuba were extremely helpful assisting me and my partner with some new snorkelling gear after loosing a few things in Tasmania. They do have a great range of products on the showroom floor and were more then happy to have a chat and help resolve a few issues we had with our previous gear. I would highly recommend to people who are local, or heading over to Tasmania and need some last minute bits and pieces.
Brilliant dive store and training. They may not be as cheap as some online places but they have superb product support, very knowledgeable, will only sell products you actually need and will help set up gear properly. Dive training is much more thorough than other groups I've been with, with safe diving as the main goal.
10/10 course. Super informative and knowledgeable team l. Would highly recommend anyone interested in the sport to go through bay city. Great experience.
I couldn’t have chosen a better dive company to go for my first Open Water course. The Bay City Scuba team is absolutely fantastic in terms of teaching the necessary skills required to go diving and also ensuring everyone was having a great time when diving. It was my first attempt to go scuba diving and I have to admit I was very nervous all throughout the course. I was struggling with some of the skills e.g. mask removal but John and team were very patient with me and did not give up on me. They are the real deal as they will really make sure you are confident and ready before you get certified. Big thanks to the Bay City Scuba crew Gary, Sarah, Eric and most especially to John who was such a lovely instructor & extremely patient with me and encouraged me to keep going! If scuba diving is something you want to learn, you can trust this team to teach you and support you the whole way through!
Just wanted to say a HUGE thankyou to John and Sara for the service I received. I am preparing for a trip away and needed to purchase a wetsuit, they have a huge selection of suits to choose from and fitted me out perfectly. Great store . Thanks again for the professional and friendly service.
