Story

Your hosts, Di and Robert, welcome you to the Barrier Reef Tourist Park, A Holiday Park in Cairns. Our Caravan Park Cairns is situated in a pleasant tropical garden setting with a stunning mountain backdrop. We are on the southern approach to Cairns, a mere 15 minute drive from the city centre.

Our friendly staff is proud to offer you a range of clean, quality, value for money accommodation. You are sure to find one that suits your requirements.

Ensuite sites are our specialty in our caravan park, all with concrete slabs. We are happy to help you park your van for your convenience. Tour Bookings can be made via our tour desk.

We are within walking distance of Edmonton Shopping Village and two hotels with a-la-carte meals and pokies as well as the recently upgraded Fuller Sports Club which is the sister property of Brothers Leagues Club on the south-side of Cairns and the home of the ever-popular Edmonton Bowls Club.

Lovely quiet Park. Very well maintained. Robert the manager couldn't be more helpful. We stayed for 4 weeks and had our van stored prior. Definitely recommend this Park.
While the park is cheap and in a good location. Our ensuite had mould on the walls, doors and shower curtain. No fan or fly screen. Alot of permanent residence in park, one couple in particular get up in the middle of the night to go to work, having no respect for others in regards to noise. Petrol station located on main road has entrance buzzer going off all night. The manager Rob is not for everyone, came across rude and arrogant. I Will not stay here again.
We have stayed for 3 weeks. We found everything to be as advertised. Cabins are clean, park is tidy, only 15 mins drive to Cairns. We found a fresh coconut and pawpaw, that was growing in the park to enjoy.nManagement team is friendly and we will stay again.
Robert was very helpful, friendly and I found the Silky Oak cabin to be just perfect for my needs. The park is very organised and close to most things one needs. I would happily stay here again
