Solo female traveller in December. Google map location wasn't quite accurate, so went down the smaller road that looked right. I didn't get far before I turned back around. Place is very isolated, dusty and road was unkept so I didn't want to scratch my van. I went back to the highway and camped at the Giru Glass Area down the road. Felt much safer and comfortable

Turns out I wasn't even in the camping area but still good. Decent fishing, relatively quiet but it is near the road to Jerona so you do occasionally hear cars going past.
