Bar Eight

While the place is a good place to catch up, the decor needs updating as it hasn't been updated since my husband used to go back in the early 90s! Also, the toilets being open is an invasion of privacy... who needs genital pics when you can sit at the corridor of the toilets and be able to see wang from the urinals

Amazing place with more then 15 pool tables and, Much better than all the other pool places with affordable price. Great food and beer.

Went Here for the first time Friday, it was awesome! Great place to hang with some friends, the bar staff are awesome aswell.

They will ask for your ID to scan. I understand they have to make sure that you are over 18, but scanning the ID card is breaching your privacy.

The venue is a great place to play billiards. Plenty of tables and good price to hire the tables. The security in my view is a bit over the top as you need to provide ID and get your picture taken. Was surprised they didn't frisk me lol. The atmosphere is great and great choice of music. However two things let this place down and that is the food and drinks. Ordered a pizza and chips but they were barely cooked. Even the lady that served us wasn't sure if the pizza was properly heated? You would think that a place that offers food would be able to cook the food properly. Also the alhohol in my opinion is very expensive.

Needs more of a fun vibe with music during the weekdays. Very serious vibe with serious players cause everything’s so serious in this world. Pool tables in excellent condition

Had a great time but lady on door was rude regarding the need for ID. I'm referring to photo ID not COVID vaccination or the need for masks, as I notice this appears to be the canned response to other people mentioning this rude experience. Nothing mentioned on the website but apparently we should have somehow known ID would be required. Have been in Aus for 10+ years and it's the first I've been asked for ID to get in anywhere. Maybe somethings changed? Either way, just be polite about it and treat people with respect. I suspect you get some trouble at Bar Eight but don't tar everyone with the same brush. I've also now read other reviews and there is a common theme with the woman on front door being rude. Bar Eight, you might want to take a look at this as its' clearly not only us that felt that way. Only takes one bad egg...

Great unique place. Comfy furniture and great atmosphere

NOT A 1 STAR!!! I do not rate this place at all!! Staff are aggressive and the manager is defensive and I don't believe has any idea about acceptable Australian standards. They use bar stools to hold the toilet doors open, which isn't nice when you can see straight into the male toilets from the pool hall. We identified to the manager, that being able to see inside the male toilets I.e the urinal from the pool hall is unacceptable. She did not understand this. She told us, bar stools were used to hold the doors open because the facilities were cleaned. When asked how often the toilets were cleaned she said daily!! So that doesn't explain why my partner had to close the doorS multiple times in a space of an hour... she then blamed it on the hinge. Went to leave and was told out of the blue that the police were called, because the door staff felt threatened by me. This made me laugh, because it was me who said to the door staff, there was no need for her to be aggressive, I was purely just trying to identify a public offensive. I advised I was happy to wait for the police to come but I believe the threat was empty

Bar 8 is amazing The employees are all amazing always just happy and helpful the food is amazing feel very safe every weekend here highly recommended. The owner does a amazing job at running the bar 8 she is always happy and bubble and blends in with all of us to make our experience amazing
