that old caucasian lady with the glasses should be fired - she is horrible at dealing with non-english speakers. she has a really bad attitude. had her for my mum's appointment twice and she was extremely rude to us and the translator. first appointment she asks me "what is the need for a translator", when this appointment was for my mum who is a non-english speaker. in the second appointment, the translator is translating everything she is saying and she goes to tell the translator "i was just telling YOU that, the lady knows what she is here for". goes to show her attitude also goes beyond customers and to her own colleagues. i would not be surprised if she treated other non-english speaking customers the same way. she should know that bankstown is an ethnic area but seems to show almost 0 compassion compared to her other colleagues.
I left work as early as possible just to make it to the centre before they closed. Arrived at 4:20 and was told that it would take too long to process for a vaccine certificate and asked to leave. Unbelievable! Should change the business hours to close at an earlier time instead.
The female staff named Margaret is a waste of tax payer's money. She was downright rude, and raised her voice telling me she's been working in Centrelink for 30 years and I'm not in a position to tell her how to do her job. I explained to her that there was a discrepancy in advice received from different staff members of the same service centre, and I would like to clarify that. Then she passed me onto another male staff member, who was then confused with her half-done task.
Why do they even bother to have a branch here? The worst customer service ever. Only lazy can be used to describe the customer service person I dealt with. Did not even attempt to answer my question and gave me a card with the Centrelink number and told me to call that! Whereas the Darlinghurst branch at least attempted to answer.
Had a 3PM appointment. Got here on time. It’s 3:42…still waiting…
I went with my brother to-day to get his proof off double jabbed, he refuses to have a mobile and needed a paper copy for his wallet. A line up and I thought oh here we go, I can see us here for a long time. In just on an hour everything was sorted for him, we left with his paperwork in hand. Security outside and in plus the rest of the staff were polite friendly and courteous. As were the people in the queue waiting their turn.
The female customer officer at the front desk was rude, unhelpful and racist. she is such a waste of tax money. Seems like Bankstown Centrelink is VERY UNFRIENDLY and not helpful at all. I will definitely to stay far away from there, If needed help I will go to Centreink in Campsie. The way Bankstown Centrelike functioning, they will be closing down soon.
I came here today, the front teller guy at the door was not friendly at all and rather seem unhappy while doing his job. In a service division kind of job, this really sets off low and bad vibes for customers who are dealing with medical administration issues, whom are in need of a friendly help and service.
Bankstown Centrelink is lazy/fraudulent. After I had a baby and returned to work, I applied for childcare benefits 3 times and got no response. I even had my husband apply for us, in case there was something in the procedure I'd overlooked. I was entitled to the childcare rebate and I never received any. The government wants women back in the workforce. Who is Centrelink to make their own rules? Someone should look into what's happening in this office. The staff are happy to receive their salary, which is paid by us taxpayers. Do your job!
Went there to verify my ID, the frontline people didn't even check my documents and they told me they gonna call me, they didn't even ask for my contact number, and never received a call from them. I called them the next day on the call centre, they said the attendant in centrelink didn't do anything, so I wasted my time going there. Poor service and would never come back.
