be careful.... when they grab the bread from the bottom shelf and it's prepackaged .....they will tell you its fresh IT IS NOT...IT IS STALE DO NOT ACCEPT If they refuse to get fresh one from top shelf or if they don't have any left WALK OUT They are VERY DODGY in here go to other Bakers Delight .....safer
I also found this Bakers delight convenient. I just purchased 6 Hi Fibre rolls which I found delicious, and fresh.

I went today - Wednesday - and asked for Wholemeal block but the girl sliced the wrong bread..I didn't know until I left the shop and I found out it was not soft.....but I couldn't be bothered driving all the way back as I was going home after work.... I reckon the girl is new ..... they prepack the bread as well.....as someone else has already mentioned in their review If you buy from this Hawthorn one make sure you tell them you want 'the soft one' and confirm they give you the right bread I reckon the one in Malvern Central is better as they get more customers I go to the Malvern Central one on the weekend
As tasty as you expect from any Baker's Delight, although there seems to be a lot of already packaged and waiting on the shelf stuff here, so that when I finally get it it has lost its crisp crust and gone soft.
I have to give the administrative staff 5 plus stars. Not many would know much about the admin office until you have to contact them. Amazingly helpful, friendly and very prompt service can not fault a thing. I only wish I lived close enough for them to be my local bakery
STRIKE 2: Second time in a row ive gotten day old bread from this place First review from a couple of months ago is below. I dont think this store owner seems to be listening to their feedback. I go to 3 or 4 different bakers delights stores regularly. The bread here is not up to scratch, its not completely stale at purchase, but definately dryer internally, and does not last. If i want day old bread thats only good for toasting the next day ill buy it for $1.50 @ safeway. We are ONLY WILLING TO pay $4 for quality which you are not offering at this store. 1st try couple of months ago review: White bread was not as fresh from this store yesterday. For some reason it was not so fresh the next morning and only good for toasting. This is not the case at the burwood store i usually go to where it is light fluffy and fresh still the morning after purchase. The bread sold to me here must have been day old bread which is not normal for bakers delight
Disgusting service from a young girl there today. Not accommodating whatsoever and extremely rude, felt as though it was a chore to be there. Extremely disappointing as I am there every second day.
Standards here are falling, poorly made pastries, overly thick pastry. Just not what I expect from a Bakers Delight.
