Celebrated my birthday on a Saturday. Very cool vibes, food was good portions were quite small, drinks fab. We were about 12 and could fit okay at the Sakura floor. Only cons are the extra $3 per person for bringing a cake and $10 per person for large bookings. I understand this is average in other venues in Sydney, but I haven't been asked any of these on previous birthdays. I was also suggested to go for a fixed menu since we were a large booking, but in the end we ordered a la carte from mr yum.
BEST Service and Food in Sydney, we had our Christmas party here on Friday night the 25th. It was a vibe, the food was melt in your mouth delicious, we had 2 dedicated staff serving us the most yummiest drinks, it was amazing, shout out to the staff that looked after us on Friday night also, they were on the ball, knew there drinks and were incredibly hospitable. LOVE this place, we will be having many more Christmas parties here for sure! I highly recommend Bad Mama!
where should I start…food was all in small portions which was fine, presentation not bad but just way too salty and probably used lots of msg. vibe was good but lack customer service. drinks were okay given the price point. definitely has room to improve especially on the food part
Amazing interior, great drinks and vibes. I had a fun night out with friends. Friendly staff and great service. Food was 50/50 Between amazing and room for improvement. Buttered, fried fish, soooooo good. But I will definitely be back for more.
All you mongrels out there Great location. Birds are cheers Dumplings good especially the lamb Cumin variety. That young bloke who works here could be on baywatch Tanned, fit and very helpful bloke. Top notch joint Good staff. Keep it easy and friendly like this Spicy margaritas are absolutely cheers Get around this joint it's the one
Service was probably the worst I’ve ever had. When I arrived at the venue there was no host. I waited for some time awkwardly standing there and then just went upstairs to look for my friends. The staff member who took our order did not write it down. Subsequently our order was all messed up. Got dishes we didn’t order. Didn’t get dishes we did. No apology. No acknowledgement of the error. I think the staff member was on another planet. Asked for water. They didn’t bring glasses. 5 people on our table. We ordered oysters… they brought 1 single oyster…?!? Had to order each drink twice as they kept forgetting. Followed up 3 times for our final main which they forgot to bring. It came by 9:45pm… we ordered dumplings via the app to avoid the staff forgetting only to find out that the kitchen was closed AFTER the order was placed and paid and waited for 30 mins. Meanwhile the staff were blank eyed and didn’t seem to care at all. Basically the team there are totally hopeless. Decor, food and drinks give this place the 2 stars they otherwise wouldn’t deserve.
Great atmosphere, quirky decor, incredible food, in fact some of the best food we have ever eaten! Waiters were super friendly. Highly recommend!
Bad Mama Bar brings an amazing vibe with it beautiful décor, delicious food and lovely staff members. It's clear the owners take the time and care out to provide a positive experience for their customers. Would highly recommend!
Absolutely worst customer service I've ever experienced ever whilst living here in Sydney,...had the person serving us touching and picking at her teeth right next to our table and then serving customers without washing hands,...and drinking with her friend at bar!! Had like a youth club/diner/RSL vide too it to be honest!! The staff couldn't even crack a smile or have any convo,....I would of Been better getting fish and chips and sitting in the park,...the cocktails were terrible also would of been better going to the horse like no effort at all went into presentation and delivery
Interesting place! We stopped by here cause we were in the area and wanted a place to drink. We were greeted by a friendly guy and taken to the downstairs bar area. The area was dimly lit with neon lights here and there, and a kinda grungy sort of vibe. It was pretty nice in its own, unique way. The staff were super friendly and easygoing, and genuinely seemed to want to get to know you. Prices were also affordable. We ordered vegetarian dumplings and I thought they were pretty good in terms of texture and taste! Would definitely come again :
