It's trendy to appropriate traumatic periods of history, very cute and very chic. Would you call and establishment Uncle Tom's and then put pictures of black people everywhere and dress your staff as black cotton workers? No of course you wouldn't so you wouldn't do this either.
I came here a while back with my friend Liv and her friends. We ordered some food and drinks. I have to say the food was absolutely amazing!! I met the boss and she was amazing!! We then tried the Mei Goring Spring Rolls. They were to die for!! Once we were finished we got to the bottom of the plate and was surprised by seeing the main meal that all Uni Students have and will always live on Mei Goring packet. This made our table laugh pretty hard, the hot sauce that came with the entre was amazing and also come in the Mei Goring . I will definitely be coming back next time!!
This is my new favourite venue! The food and cocktails are amazing especially the frozen cider and the spring rolls. It's a great concept, good atmosphere and the staff are all welcoming and friendly. The people giving bad reviews have obviously never step foot in there. With the sydney night life going downhill since the lock out laws I feel we really need more places like this. It's got great music but also delicious food and drinks! Which is very hard to find in sydney these days..
We were welcomed by amazing, friendly staff who were so accommodating to our group. The food was flawless and the owner’s choice Of drinks to accompany the food was on point! If there was 10 stars, suet sins would have it!
Food is great very cool atmospher, wel priced and drinks are great. Would highly recommend it
Pretty cool place. Have slushy cocktails and a pretty wide range of alcohol for the size it is. Staff are friendly as and the place itself is pretty funky. Plenty of seating, creative fusion menu.
the waitress mixed up our table with another who had left earlier - we were made to pay more for what we actually had ordered. when i tried to contact the owner 3 times to rectify this mistake and get a refund i was ignored. terrible customer service
The creepy concept of this bar makes my skin crawl. The gross cultural appropriation is abhorrent and they also refer to "geisha chicks" in at least one of their posts whilst dressing their white staff in qipao as though Asian cultures are all the same. Ugh. Suey Sins have deleted many of the comments on Facebook that criticize them too, which is a fantastic way to educate yourself and learn from mistakes.
The food was amazing. The mushroom dumplings and veggie gyoza were great. Lovely staff. Will definitely come back.
One of my favourite places. Great music, heaps of seating, amazing food and best of all world class service something so rare these days. Proud to be a Suey Sins local.
