If you like something different that standard “modern” cafe , Baba Sus did not disappoint! You need to try their crispy pork belly!! Just look at the photos that I posted. Hig portion too. We also ordered the omelette, so yummy. I have been so many cafes and lately they offered similar food OR the portions are too small We will definitely come back.
If you're passing through the area, this cafe is a decent spot for breakfast or lunch. But it's definitely not worth the 4.6 star rating. The Asian fusion dishes will please those who don't have an Asian palette. Asians will find it lacking in flavour and quality. Coffee is average. Staff are polite but service time is a bit slow.
Hidden gem in Glen Iris that does an Asian fusion food and it is pretty darn good. The service is pretty quick and friendly. I think it is a tidy busy on weekends, so be mindful.
Overall was okay My hongkong egg waffle is the best I have ever had. Cant imagine how well green tea would go with berries and custard However, my vietnamese coffee was quite disappointing, it was not strong enough, you suppose to press the coffee firmly so the coffee dripping down would be strong enough Should change your salt shaker lol, quite hard to get the right amount of salt My egg toast was alright, quite average. Might come back for the waffle My ice coffee taste like flat white, too bland
Love coming to Baba Sus. Always delicious. Really enjoy the fusion of Asian and western cuisine. I usually go for their HK waffles but thought I'd try something different this time.
Located on a quiet corner of Glen Iris, Baba Sus has the potential to be a successful destination cafe. It's selection of food Asian fusion influences with a strong and much-welcomed emphasis on porky offerings and drinks is pretty good and different from standard fare. We did enjoy sitting outside on this nice, sunny day but there were drawbacks. An almost 30-minute wait for our food felt like 45 because they took awhile to take our orders. The actual quality of what we got in terms of drinks were slightly diluted versions. As for the food, the soba with salmon was decent but the rice grains on the Baba Sus were parched. Portions are small here. No sharing required. It's a pretty nice cafe if you are passing through and they have a table but not yet deserving of their current 4.6-star rating
Staff and environment is friendly as usual. Hojicha Latte was a bit watered down for my liking but serviceable. Would recommend for fusion experience! Parking: Park up the street
Definitely recommend Buba Sus for brunch/ lunch. The food was very yummy. The matcha latte had the cutest art on it and was really good as-well
LOVE everything about this place! Okay so the Waffles are AMAZING!!! Everything on that plate compliments one another and it is just delicious! Coffee is amazing, all other food is fantastic. ZERO faults. Book ahead, it gets busy!
