My mother in law was in Melton with her rental car from Avis Adelaide, on her way to her grandson's wedding in Queensland. Whilst in Melton, a lady in a Mazda drove into her front right mudguard/wing, bending it etc. On her contract it says "In case of an accident please contact your 'local' Avis Office. So she drove to Avis Melton Car / Truck Hire where she was served by a manager of sorts. After explaining what happened, the man basically told her "It's not my business, I'm based in Ballarat". The man was quite rude to my mother in law and kept saying he can't help her. It's got nothing to do with him blah blah blah. My mother in law wanted help with filling out the Accident record on her contract, she got no help whatsover telling her to go to Melbourne Avis or Brisbane Avis and they might or might not change her car. She was most upset about the accident and did not like the way she was treated, it was very poor service to say the least, hence she did not want to give any stars, but left one to make a point! I used to live in Melton and found people to be lovely but this man treated my mother in law appallingly that day, just after an accident that was not her fault. Maybe this person needs some training in  how to treat customers of Avis? Not happy !!

These guys are literally thugs. They help themselves to your account without your permission. They are difficult, abusive, hostile. Frankly after questioning them one of them was so worked up that I thought he was going to get violent as they yanked the keys out of my hand and pushed me back against the wall.

I've dealt with a lot of businesses over the years. I know that car rental companies are not necessarily above board and honest, but these guys take the cake. They couldn't lie straight in bed. Never in my entire life have I dealt with a less honest, more abusive and hostile bunch of thugs in my entire existence.

Whatever you do, do NOT deal with this company.
