Tom Harris, I must have had the same woman as you.  The younger man who had originally served me was quite helpful, but when he asked for assistance from this older woman, she was rude and abrupt, and totally unhelpful.  I'll make sure I never return to this post office again.
PS - to the manager.  I'd strongly suggest you remind this woman she is lucky to have a job.

Older female staff member was not only unfriendly, but incredibly rude. Needs to reconsider her career or learn a few things about how to give real customer service.

Have ordered a passport here. Today is 7th day my passport is on delivery with a postie! Staff is also doing everything possible to make it hard for customers. Worst government idea to allow Auspost manage passports.

I usually dread post offices, but I had a wonderful experience last week. A staff member (Kim)  met me at the door and asked if I needed any assistance with anything. She happily helped me choose the correct packaging for my parcel and then proceeded to direct me where to meet her once I was ready to post it. She explained that I didn't have to line in the que, instead she orgnaised payment and postage off to the side. I have never had a more enjoyable and helpful experience at a post office. THANK YOU.

Appalling service on p.o. boxes. Parcels not carded, a parcel returned to sender even though correctly delivered, numerous occasions get an email saying mail to be collected then you drive round there and find the box empty. I just had to cancel the box account it was so bad. Then get charged a $30 cancel fee after I complained about the service PLUS they ask if I want to pay for mail redirection. Absolutely clueless, no customer service ethic whatsoever.
