A great local post office that not only has the usual postal stuff, but also lovely gifts & unusual items and banking. The staff are always friendly & helpful. They're locals so they treat ppl like friends.
Okay let get things straight here. The 3.9 stars is understandable. However, considering the many factors that affect the performance of the beautifully patient elderly queens that run the joint these women are doing an incredible job which is further amplified when they have a young recruit. This post office has to deal with a 3 blocks filled with atleast 40 families EACH TOTALLING a minimum of 120 people's that have to collect daily mail because for some inconsiderate but hopefully logical decision these units are banned from getting mail and parcels in the mailbox or to the door. Considering their ages and the busy schedule of taking care of these units alone they are doing an exceptional job. Also considering the countless people in the LAC that use this post office that come in daily to check if their parcels have arrived I myself am included in this list, only because considering age and busyness of this post office there is some tendency to care less for people to check for mail or parcels on person when they can be checked online. Only recommendation is they always have the young recruit position open and filled. 5 stars hats off!
I wish I could give zero stars, avoid using this LPO if you can. You’ll get attitude no matter how nice you try to be. I’ve unfortunately used their services half a dozen times in the last few months, after the first encounter with a rude staff member I tried at every subsequent visit to be extra polite and patient but every time walked out of there wondering why any of them work in customer service! The final straw for me was when they lost two of my parcels, I had to spend a lot of time corresponding with Aus Post customer service to locate my parcels, I kept getting told they were ‘lost in the system’, turns out Coolalinga didn’t scan them correctly and put them ‘awaiting collection’ rather than sending them to Darwin for sorting. Aus Post customer service had previously ask Coolalinga LPO to check for these parcels and each time were told they were not there. My parcels were ‘lost’ for over a month and it caused a great deal of stress. If I had not pushed Aus Post and asked them to triple check at Coolalinga I doubt they would have been found at all. An attitude adjustment and some training definitely would go astray at this LPO - avoid at all cost.
Like so many others have stated, the old ladies here are so very rude for absolutely no reason. I called and asked if a package was ready to pick up and you’d think I had slapped her mother. Definitely grumpy Boomers. If you don’t like your job or are having a bad day, that’s no reason to be unkind. Avoid if you can.
Just want to say a HUGE thank you to the lovely staff at Coolalinga LPO. Nothing is to to much of a hassle and the ladies always go out if their way to assist me. Keep up the great work.
I have been absolutely appalled by the service or lack thereof at this lpo. The rudeness of the staff, implementation of policies that aren't permitted by Aus post and refusal to serve despite formal complaints submitted on these matters is so disappointing. I appreciate they're busy but they choose to work here and therefore abide by the Aus post policies and don't try to create their own because they get frustrated that they have to do more work.
Super helpful staff, got me in and out and lisence done all in the 15 minutes before closing time. Made my licence transfer super easy. Very much appreciated.
Best post office in Australia. Nicest staff. Always extremely helpful.

This has to be the best office in the NT, Ann and the gang are always so helpful, 6 Star service.
