Friendly staff in general and a good variety of liquor. On the other hand, I do not care if people are jabbed or not and the problems each one has in regards to the mask, but I can't agree on the fact that certain staff members is are trying to enforce a mandate understood to be unlawful by the way when in fact, by law, they do not have the powers to do so and are clearly being misled. Firstly, mandate in not law; it's an invitation for contract. The fines do not stand in court by experience. Secondly, by having an ABN, business must attain to Federal Laws and those override state laws & directions. The staff may be breaching several federal laws by personating a Biosecurity Control Officer Biosecurity Act 2015 or by breaching Privacy Act 1988 and Anti-Discrimination Act and a few others. The penalties fines and jail term are severe to each individual and the owner partaking on it. Even the mask mandate is unlawful itself, as each person must receive an individual biosecurity control order, it must be in writing and personalised and decided in court and the person must be ill. I understand the business owner is in an uncomfortable position though and I am trying to be sympathetic towards it. I do not care if I am jabbed or not and people's opinion about the 'virus" and I do not care about the liquor and I would not argue over it. However, when I see something that is not right and immoral happening in the community, I believe I need to speak out. Unfortunately I have also seen it happening to many places and the ignorance is what is affecting everyone now - business owners and customers. Imagine if the customers start also asking the staff to show their medical records that are private or start filming the staff and reporting it to the police for breaching of the federal laws? I am not giving a legal advice here and I suggest the owners to educate themselves about the law and guide the staff accordingly. Lots of businesses - respecting the customers and avoiding losing revenue and respect of the public - already got together and compiled documents that are given to those trying to enforce the mandate and it has been very successful. Perhaps the owners could unite with the local businesses to do the same.
I have been a regular at the Spearwood, Atwell and Bertram stores for 16 years. Have always appreciated keeping my money local and supporting our WA businesses. Won the Ryan's Meat Raffle today and really happy. Wow great quality meat thanks to Ryan's Quality Meats. Should have written a review ages ago and a big thanks to the Bertram staff. Always feels like coming home.
I will never return after being abused by a female staff member for not wearing a mask even though I informed her of a medical condition. She acted against the law and made me feel very uncomfortable.
Decent prices, great service from friendly staff. Definitely better than larger big brand stores, even if they don't have bargain basement prices. Sometimes quality service is worth a little extra.

This is a really big bottle shop, amongst a group of local shops about 2 mins off Thomas Rd. Lots to choose from whether you are after beer, wine or liquor and they always have great specials. Service is great too!

Ok selection but quite expensive. Expect to pay about $10 more for a carton of beer.
