Although calling to their telephone number or trying to schedule an appointment are of limited use, the reception staff went above and beyond to solve my query, special thanks to Silvia. The council should invest in more staff and face to face customer service as this is the quickest and most efficient way of solving important, real-life problems of Cambridge citizens.
I've received text messages from Jacobs regarding a road traffic fine passed to them by Cambridge CC. I am not aware of any fine with an outstanding payment and I can only email parking services who automatically reply 5 working days to respond while Jacobs threaten I will be charged more! This is stressful and unhelpful clearly not enough staff to do the job!
Shoddy delivery of public services on all accounts. One has to raise a formal complaint to glean a response, which often often go nowhere. Getting through to a human on the telephone is nigh on impossible. Precious public resources wasted on horribly bureaucratic processes, too many self-serving jobworthy staff, I feel sorry for the ones who actually care. It's about time CCC were held to account and started delivering value for money to the people of Cambridge who deserve better.
Spoke to a man today regarding incorrect council tax payment issues. He was extremely helpful and managed to get the issue sorted out within an hour. Best customer service I've had in a while. I think his name was Jon.
Costumer service doesn't give you any service at all! For a year now the word “pandemic” is an excuse for: “we don't want to work, you deal with it youself!” Extremely rude and miserable bunch of people
Please update your website. It state that the city council is open until 5:15, when in reality, you're closed. I know we are in lockdown, but to update the website someone from city council IT or web department can do it from home. Thank you.
Our trip to Cambridge came on a wet cold windy May day... We were worried about finding the park and ride to allow us to spend the maximum time in the city. Signs took us easily to the Newmarket Road park and ride and after finding how to use the machines to pay we got on a bus for the centre. We had arranged to meet a friend from London at the railways station... so we had to change buses in the centre and then all get a taxi back to the centre... By 5pm our friend needed to get home and we easily found a bus to the railway station... Then came the problems... as strangers to Cambridge we had no idea how to get to the park and ride... no signs, no obvious bus stops just for the park and ride.. and then we found a bus stop on East road with a PR1 bus listed to arrive at 6.38pm... it was 5.30 at that time... We sat and waited and suddenly there was our bus and when we tried to get it to stop.... uh oh... the driver waving us to go further down the road... so we walked and walked, having no idea where we were going.... until we found the shopping centre where we were dropped off... The short version... WE WILL NEVER GO TO CAMBRIDGE AND USE YOUR PARK & RIDE AGAIN...... The city has some beautiful buildings, great museums.. but until you take the time to but up proper signage.. ITS A NIGHTMARE AND YOU CAN KEEP IT!....
Cambridge is the one of the most expensive city with lowest salery in this country. House rent is very high and city council tax increasing every year No discount offered in the Covid-19 pandemic. Parking fee applied everywhere, Front of my door where park my car, paying £66 per year. City council tax £166 monthly . I am just tired with, thinking to move
Can’t believe how unbelievably rude the team are there absolutely disgusting! Need to learn how to talk politely!! Especially that one guy i had a phone call with today annoyingly didn’t get his name!!
Non responsive. Empty words, no action! Cambridge City Council's main remit is 'collecting tax' but they don't care less when it comes to responding to queries, resolving issues,...
