An important and beautiful piece of historical structure in Hyde park. Commemorates the relationship between France and Australia. Beautiful during the evening hours. Located very close to St. Mary's cathedral. The fountain is a magnificent work of art and worth a visit if in Sydney.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Great place to check out if you’re in the area, not just for the fountain itself but because it’s so close to other notable landmarks nearby. You’ll often come across newlyweds taking photos in the background. Plenty of park benches around, great to come here and rest or have a lunch before getting on with the rest of your day.
An interesting fountain in the memory of JF Archibald located with in Hyde Park. It uses mythical creature and it’s a peaceful place to sit and relax and listen to the running water

Nice fountain with some surrounding flowers and historical heritages, at the start/end of the big park. Enough places to sit and relax for a bit.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo wait
It’s nice at night but the breeze splashed water droplets in my face and who knows whether the water is clean or not!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Nice spring in the Hyde park, good place for relaxing under the trees
The Archibald Fountain is quite spectacular and a wonderful photo opportunity, it would have to be the most impressive fountain in Australia, at least as far as I have seen for it's shear size and wonderful design. A pleasant and peaceful area to sit down and enjoy your lunch-time break away from the office, or with family for a picnic lunch on a weekend. The statues have historical significance even if mythical in reference, every time I see it I'm in awe of it's esthetic beauty, must see at least once in Hyde Park while in the Sydney CBD. Also worth seeing whilst there is St. Mary's Cathedral just across the road opposite the fountain, and another wonderful photo opportunity.
Beautiful fountain surrounds with colourful flowers and historical heritages
Lovely peaceful spot in the Sydney CBD. Unmissable during a walk between Hyde Park and the Opera House or between Town Hall and Kings Cross. Super close to the beautiful St Mary's Cathedral, the Australian Museum and the Cook and Phillips Park pool!
