This venue has the potential of being great. As the venue itself is great. 50meter pool outside. With waterside and diving pool. Splash pad. Inside 25 lap pools. Kids play pool. Rehab pool. Spas and steam room. It has everything. Unfortunately I ran into unfriendly lifeguards. No one was following lane speed recommendations. And they were also randomly changed while in use. Most of the equipment in the rehab pool was broken. There were no no broken noodles to use in this area. Which meant I wasn't able to do my rehab after paying the extra price to use that section. And alot of the water acrobatics weights where also broken.
It cost about $50 for my partner and me to access the warm water and outdoor pools on a Saturday afternoon. All the lockers were broken and I opened about 6 that were supposedly unoccupied, to find peoples valuables inside. I wish management would invest more money back into this facility. It's a shame to see that not much has changed or been updated in the last 20 years that I have been coming here. As much as I love the outdoor pool, we ended up renewing our WaterMarc membership instead. Considering how dilapidated the swim facilities are and the attached cost, there are many other pools in the area that are more modern and offer better value for money.
Good size indoor pool and outdoor pool. Friendly staff. Indoor pool was a lovely warm temp. Change rooms were large and clean.
It was busy when we went, 1st warm day in a while so new what to expect. Crowd starts to think out at around 3:30 and slides open to 5. Wait time on slides is ok. They would be better off closing the swim lanes on the crazy days. Do the lanes in the indoor pool...
Very crowded, you are basically swimming in piss due to the amount of people in the water Unsure if this can be helped. There is no changeroom etiquette, all the old men are walking around naked, and as a teen this makes me feel very uncomfortable. I am sure there are others out there with the same response as me. I do not want to walk into a change room and be confronted with you know what. Other than that the facilities are okay.
Always clean and good facilities. Lockers need maintenance and last visit they had way to much chlorine. Really stung my eyes! Only time it's happened so it's no big complaint.
Poor management for the adult swimming class. I only had 5 lessons on Thursday nights after I've joined membership, but I've met 4 different coaches each lesson. I just want a same coach every week so that she or he could coach us better.
I love that Aquarena includes friendly and great exercise classes for over 50s. Called Momentum, there are different class levels catering for a wide range of abilities. Make sure you find the right class level! Classes are also available in the evenings for employed people mod to fit level.
The facilities are nice and well maintained with a goid variety of choices between outdoor / indoor swiming pools , warm water pool, Sauna . The only issue I noticed is many if the lanes are usually booked for training and therefore it's a bit crowded especially in the slow/ medium lanes.
Terrible management and poor customer service throughout the entire centre thanks to Belgravia Leisure's management team. Rude swimming coach, aquatic manager and centre manager. When incident happened to a kinder kid, they did everything possible to lie and downplay the seriousness of the incident. No investigation, no apologies, no sympathy and even not care at all. When you complain, they firstly ignore you and then blame on the parent and the kid. They asked you to write to them but since that, it's all radio silence. Very 'good strategy' for responding to incident and complaint. It is such a shame that Manningham City Council's 1st class facilities are managed by such a poor and unprofessional management team from Belgravia Leisure. For sure, it's going to get worse and worse as these guys never face their issues and don't want to improve at all. Looking at the reported issues and feedback from the previous and current visitors via Google Review, the Belgravia Leisure management team didn't even care to respond at all. The only thing that the team is good at is - keep calling you again and again persuading you signing up the membership.
