Good pool, the outside could be really nice with a little bit of money spent on it.nFix the diving pool, it wouldn’t need that much.nFix the water play pieces that just need a little bit of work.nnRejuvenate the grass a bit, at least the areas close to the pool.nnMore fresh air inside.nnHow about not closing SO early on a 40 degree public holiday in January???
The place is nice and the gym is well maintained and feels very new. The indoor pool is usually very packed on days you want to go to the pool and the outside is usually really dirty when it's a hotter day with quite a few people. Price is a bit expensive but still reasonable and plenty of parking always.
I used to swim here years ago and it was beautiful then. Just been back to see what it's like now and cannot believe how run down the outdoor pool is and how filthy the water was.nI swam a few laps and couldn't continue.nIt's like chicken soup and there's rust, mold and algae on the pool surfaces underwater.nThe council and health department need to perform water tests here.nCan't imagine what the results will be but I will never swim here again.nFilthy and unsanitary.
Going into Aquarena, I was a little nervous how it would be perceived me going in to look at the facilities as a support worker trying to see if it was suitable for clients to potentially use.nnI notified of my intent to come roughly 30 minutes out and received acknowledgement from Aquarena, notified them of my arrival and while waiting while the person who was being served was done, the manager came out to ensure the staff knew to prioritise what was needed by the person who’d sent through from the app.nnThe manager walked me around the venue himself showing all ofnwhat they have to offer, including some of the best disabled change rooms I’ve seen. On noting their pool chairs wouldn’t be suitable for the client I had in mind, the manager was open to potentially purchasing a suitable pool chair in their future budget that he’s working on, and happy to put practices in place at their cafe and anywhere else necessary to account for if the client was to come in by them-self in their wheelchair or want to complete a transaction them-self where the counters are too high.nnOverall, a fantastic experience and a venue I will highly recommend to those looking for a hydrotherapy venue.nThis app would be great for a range of people with all sorts ofndisabilities, especially invisible disabilities and parents.nnBy Frankie – Support Worker
It is one of the best places to relax near Doncaster. They even have an Olympic size pool our in the back. You can sit there on the grass and relax. There is ample parking. Also, spots for disability parking right out in the front. There is also a gym upstairs. Definitely fully equipped place with a lot of pools. They also do training sessions. Would highly recommend relaxing and exercising. Nice, clean, and green outside.
