Visited the brand new Apple Perth City store at Forrest Place shortly after it opened, and it’s a game-changer for Perth!nnThe location in the heart of the CBD, inside a beautifully restored historic Commonwealth Bank building, gives it such a unique vibe—modern Apple tech meets classic architecture.nnPlenty of space to browse, with interactive displays and a genius bar that’s easy to access. If you’re in the city, definitely check it out—way better than the old Hay Street store.nnDisappointed with Apple’s decision on the Apple Watch Series 10 using easily chipped material. I’ve had the watch six months, and it’s significantly chipped - a known issue online, search “Apple Watch 10 chipping” - they said if the chipping was more towards the centre of the rear of the watch they could do something. They claim it’s “aesthetic general wear and tear”. The watch has been cared for and not bumped or dropped and has no reason to chip other than the materials used for the ‘gloss’ look are defective. Own a SE watch that uses different material, owned it for twice as long, no chipping.
Newly renovated Apple Store in 2025 and moved location to near Zara and H&M.nInside looks more fresh with wooden interior. I really liked the look from the outside too!
I came here to pick up my phone after a battery replacement, and the experience was extremely frustrating.nnAs soon as I entered the store, the greeter at the door told us to go sit at the Genius Bar and wait. We waited pointlessly for 20 minutes with no one attending to us. When I finally went back to ask the greeter, only then did he mention that we actually needed to check in at the Genius Bar. How could we possibly know that if he never told us in the first place? There was no apology at all—he just repeated that we should go wait.nnBack at the Genius Bar, we waited another 5 minutes until we had to interrupt a busy staff member. Thankfully, that employee was very kind, helped us check in immediately, and within 5 minutes my phone was ready.nnI don’t mind waiting—as long as it’s meaningful. But the front staff should at least tell customers to check in, not let people sit there wasting time. This was a very poor first impression.
Shoutout to the cute guy Marc who helped me with my pickup. He was very helpful/ knowledgeable about all things Apple made me feel very confident in my decision. He’s also very charismatic and funny. Shame Arsenal will finish 2nd though x nnThe new location by the way is stunning! Much better than your old store everyone seemed super friendly amongst the chaos
Dear Apple Team,nI am writing to express my deep disappointment with the Apple brand. I have always chosen Apple products for their quality and sophistication, and I have been a loyal customer for many years. I have purchased several iPhones, an iPad, and, more recently, an Apple Watch.nUntil now, I had never needed to return to an Apple Store for any issue. However, my Apple Watch developed a problem with the strap Nike Strap — specifically, the pin that fastens the band broke, for no reason — and this clearly did not happen due to negligence or misuse.nI visited the Apple Store in Perth City Murray Street and was assisted by the store manager, Aaron. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. The manager was extremely rude and dismissive throughout the interaction. When I simply asked whether my purchase invoice could be found in the system, he aggressively replied that it was my obligation to have the receipt, and not his job to looking for it. I found this response completely unnecessary and unprofessional. I eventually located the invoice, which clearly shows that the product has been used for less than two years. All my history apple has on the system, as I still use the same email, always.nnAaron insisted that the damage was caused by not drying the watch, which does not make sense, as the affected area is internal. I have always taken great care of the device, and the damage appears to be due to poor material quality rather than user negligence. The parts that appear damaged are inside the pin; from the outside, there is no sign of rust or anything similar. In short, there’s no way I could have dried the areas he was referring to. What disappoints me the most is that, without this small pin, I can’t use the watch at all. Yet, he insisted that I would have to purchase a completely new band, costing around 70 AUD. Another thing - if the problem is caused by water, then the watch shouldn’t be considered water-resistant.nI am attaching photos showing that the pin broke without any apparent reason or misuse. I am deeply disappointed — not only by the quality of the band but also by the poor level of customer service I received. Visiting an Apple Store has always been a pleasant and inspiring experience for me, but unfortunately, this time it was the opposite.nI kindly ask that this situation be reviewed and that the possibility of repairing or replacing the strap at no additional cost be considered. I never asked for a new strap — only for the pin to be replaced with a higher-quality part, as the failure was not caused by misuse.nLastly, I would appreciate if this matter could be handled by someone other than Aaron, as the interaction with him was uncomfortable and unhelpful.nThank you for your attention to this matter. I truly hope that Apple, a brand I have always admired, can restore my confidence and resolve this issue fairly and respectfully.
