I had a 75 minute massage at Anumi today. After reading reviews I feel the experiences shared were a little harsh. I had one of the best massages of my life at this salon. The place is tastefully decorated and quite pretty. Not as someone had stated before nor were my towels worn or the room messy. I was greeted respectfully by the owner who no doubt has to put up with her fair share of rudeness. I came out of there very relaxed and very happy with the service I received. Give this salon a try you’ll be surprised. I bought a Scoopon you can’t beat 75 minute massage for $50…
It is extremely difficult to make a booking for two. They have very limited time/day available. At the end, my partner and I had to change our schedules to secure a booking - time/day that suit them, not us. On the day of our appointment, they rang 75 mins prior to our appointment and requested us to arrive 15 mins early to which we agreed. Within 15 mins later, they called again and asked if we could arrive to our appointment "now" as one of their staff needed to leave early! I was still in a meeting and so was my partner. Even if I was not in the meeting, we still need time to travel. This is an appalling service! Were they thinking that we had nothing to do during the day and was just sitting at home/cafe, waiting for their phone call to tell us when to come? Later, they offered another appointment which was going to be 6 weeks later, and they said take it or contact Scoopon for a refund. They have obviously sold far too many vouchers, but they do not have enough staff to meet the demand. Or perhaps the whole was just a scam! I have now lost confidence in purchasing any vouchers and may not want to try anything new! The 1 star rating I'm giving was a little too much but 1 is the lowest! Don't waste your time booking at this place. There are other organic spa places that have more credentials!
The worst salon in my life. Eyelash extensions are very bad. The extensions are sticking into my eyelids. Very painful. They are amateurs. It was very dangerous. I do not recommend this salon. The place was mostly nice and clean. The bathroom needs a bit of TLC. It had a good vibe with soft music playing. The therapist was polite and on time. I had a 2 hour pamper package which I will break down below. 30 minute back massage - This was the worst massage I’ve ever had. It was done with one hand the whole time. She would pick a spot on my back, rub it in a circle with one hand for 5 minutes, then move onto the next spot. It was awful. Awful awful awful. 15 minute body scrub - Some sort of exfoliating product was applied to my back. It was not rubbed in or “scrubbed”. I was covered with plastic wrap then left alone in the room for the rest of the treatment time. If I am paying for time I want to make the most of it. A hand massage or head massage would have been lovely here. Instead I just lay there sweating uncomfortably. When she came back in she wiped off the product and that was it. 1 hour facial - This was meant to come with a 15 minute skin consultation. This never happened. We didn’t speak about what type of skin I had or if I had any allergies, or even what type of facial I wanted to receive. She applied some products to my face but completely left out my neck and décolletage area. The stroke technique was poor and she clearly needs more training. In previous facials I have received they usually massage the head, back of neck and shoulder area, but I did not get any of that. The product got in my mouth and eyes as mentioned by many other customers in the reviews here. I was given a sheet mask for a majority of the treatment time, and again I was just left. I’m glad I only paid the discounted price from Groupon because I would be LIVID if I had paid full price. She tried to sell me more facial packages afterwards which I saw were upwards of $100. Absolute not even close to worth the money. This place has great potential but the staff need more training and the treatments need refining so customers feel pampered and relaxed. Until that happens, AVOID.
I had a lovely 75 minute massage today, the room was warm and inviting, the therapist was great, very polite, always asking if the pressure was ok or the hot stones were not too hot. The massage was great, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Only 2 things I could fault were cold hands but after a couple of minutes they were fine and I think some nice back ground soothing music would be nice. Definitely would go again.
Highly recommend the hot stone massage. Staff are genuinely so lovely!
WARNING - DO NOT GO HERE! We had our first appointment and gave a $100 deposit for a further 3 appointments as part of a bundle deal. Due to a family emergency, we were unable to attend our appointment and had to cancel. Despite us explaining the emergency circumstances surrounding our cancellation, Anumi Spa stated that they would deduct a $60 cancellation fee as well as retain the remaining $40 for NO REASON! They have no care or regard for their paying customers and have treated us atrociously. We intend to report this to consumer affairs as we have paid $100 for a service we NEVER RECEIVED! DO NOT GO HERE
I came every week for the facial and it really helps me improving my skin. I did my eyelash extensions here as well . It worth for the money I spend.
It was an awful experience. I got a groupon voucher for a 60-min facial and was very excited for finally getting some relaxing time. But unfortunately this experience was a total disaster! My appointment was at 1.30pm and I got there before time. To my surprise, the door was locked from inside and there was no one at the counter. It was above 30° today and I waited outside for good 15-20 mins. Then came the cold cup of tea, but with countless attempts to upsell me multiple add ons which I clearly did not want. And above all, the lady was really rude - pushing me for the add-ons like anything even when I said I was not interested. The facial itself was very bad- no soft light or music, continuous washing of hands, and a painful massage, where I have to ask her to go softer. I have acne-prone skin and I didn't want the extraction as it leaves scars. Even after saying a clear NO, she did it anyway - saying it was a favour to me! The facial was supposed to be 60 mins, but it lasted only 45 mins where the therapist wasnt in the room half of the time. At the end, she again tried forcing me to buy future treatments and on saying no, she further lectured me on how I really need it. It was a total disaster and I feel horrible. Never ever going back.
Had a facial there, it's far from a spa experience. The "spa" manager was polite, but the place is really dated and the treatment room was bit messy., with worn out towels. The "therapist" doesn't show much care, didn't ask about my skin at all, no consultation, really careless with getting products into the eyes took me 30min for my eyes to feel okay after. The "therapist" immediately went to her mobile phone after the treatment, she's so distracted that she missed the door handle when she was looking at the phone while leaving the room that's 1 minute after the treatment. The residual product on the face felt sticky.
