This review is for The Chef's Table part of Amicis. The Ribeye was amazing as well as the Lobster Risotto . The atmosphere is intimate, warm and the service was very much on point.Food: 5/5
Eric was the best! He was very attentive, hospitable and even charmed my grandma. Would definitely recommend this spot and they have great homemade food. The bakery and wine cellar are great as well.
A friend recommended this place to me and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is cozy and I enjoyed looking at the artwork on the walls. The hostess and our server was very friendly and attentive. We were told a 25 min wait but they sat us after only 5 mins. My table ordered manicotti with a side of sausage and chicken parm with fettuccine Alfredo. Both dishes were excellent!
Great food and great service! My party of 3 was blessed with Anne as our server. She was quick with drinks, bread + oil, and our meals. Also a good conversationalist and helpful with menu options. The place is very home-y and the owner and his family were there while we dined. Very friendly people. Will definitely be back for the Chicken Marsala … hope they have Sweet Tea next time.
Made our first visit at the recommendation of a friend. Food was wonderful and service was impeccable. Easy to hold a conversation at the table. Staff is very friendly and time to complete a meal is almost perfect, without waiting too long or feeling rushed. Can't wait to go again and try the pizza next time, which looked and smelled wonderful. But, then again, the pasta dishes we had were superb! Touch choice.
When I want to dine out and splurge, Amici's is on the list. I always get the Shrimp Parmesan and add fettuccini alfredo as the side. The two together are so tasty. My complaints are that I guess there isn't hosting in the afternoons and I have to stand awkwardly waiting for someone to see me to be seated because of the wall by the host stand that blocks the view from everyone else working there terrible design. Also, the fettuccini alfredo even though I order it all the time is very al dente to the point of uncooked sections of pasta sticking together. Also, the bread isn't that great and they ration it - I eat alone normally and they only give me a couple slices. That's chincy. But I like the servers, the pasta truffles are divine, and I do love the shrimp parm.
This review is for Chef's Table : My first visit was amazing. Everything tasted amazing and the service and atmosphere was nice. My second visit was the complete opposite experience. After waiting over 30 minutes over our scheduled dinner we were asked to sit at the accompanying restaurant Amici's. The atmosphere was not the same nor was the service. Our waiter just seemed to not want to be there - the $60+ Ribeye was bland. I decided I would save it and try to salvage what I could of it at home. The waiter insisted on packaging up the leftover food and when it came back half of the steak was gone.
Sat at the bar for a quick martini and sat forever. Not busy just a few at the bar. I had to call to have someone come to the bar and the guy took my call looked right at me as I said I need a drink at the bar....he hung up the phone on me. He knowledge a white couple that walked in afterwards. Clearly, wealthy Asians are NOT accepted here.
To say I'm underwhelmed is an understatement. Let see, to start off the night I was given a visibly dirty bread plate, and my menu was covered in bread crumbs even before we were served our bread. While choosing what to order the server was helpful with recommendations, and helped us decide between meals. This level of service quickly went downhill as our meal came to an end and it took well over five minutes to even receive a dessert menu. All this with an average of 10 tables currently full and multiple servers in sight. Speaking of menus the lack of details on the menu, including one of the main ingredients they use in their version of the meal I ordered, made my meal inedible to me as it included an ingredient I detest and would have put me off of that particular meal. What a marvelous waste of 22 dollars. The desserts were quite good; however, previous to my arrival at the restaurant I had called ahead and requested a message for a special event with our dessert which they said they could accommodate. Happy to say the message never arrived and I had no way of getting it amended as it was a surprise for my table. Overall I would not recommend it if you enjoy thorough service or want to be able to expect what is going to be served to you.
We ate here after hurricane Ian. The staff was amazing and the food was hands down the best we have had in the area. My husband, son ad my food was absolutely AMAZING. Our server was Austin G. He was very polite, attentive, funny and just great. Y’all I can’t stress enough how great their diablo marinara sauce was. Also, my pizza was fantastic. Do yourself a favor and check them out.
