Alpino stands out as an excellent Italian fusion restaurant on the drive to Auckland or vise versa. The food here is fairly solid for what you can receive in the area with a strong tapas list. It fills regularly during lunch hours as many recognise it as a great point to stop during the trip, so finding a table may not be super reliable. If placed in Auckland, it would not fair with among the best Italian restaurant options, but in its unique circumstance it is a delight to stop at every time on my trips. Pizza is recommended here as a main for the best experience.
So glad we decided to have lunch at Alpino. We didn't have a booking but the waitress told us we could have a table. We are so glad she did, the food was delicious. Enjoyed every bite!
If you visit Cambridge, have lunch at this place, the Italian food is really good. Managed by an Italian, we ordered a pizza and a salad to share was worth it. The service is great!
Alpino is a gorgeous Italian restaurant in Cambridge. This bustling restaurant was full of people and chatter as soon as we walked in, we were greeted at the door, and the staff were nice and friendly. I ordered a Limoncello margarita, but sadly, I never got to try it as it never came, but everyone else at our table got their drinks and seemed to be happy. I didn't want to make a fuss. I ended up having a glass of wine, which my friend offered me from the bottle he ordered, so it was all good. The young man who took our orders was lovely and friendly. We ordered mozzarella balls and two pizzas. The pizzas were delicious, especially the prawn one. We loved the complimentary chilli oil they brought to the table, so yummy. We were so full from dinner that we didn't need dessert but we had such a lovely time and enjoyed our meal with friends. Please visit this gorgeous restaurant, the food is definitely delicious and the atmosphere is great.
Always love stopping at Alpino when passing through cambridge. Ravioli and tartufo pizza were delicious. We always book as it's a popular spot.
