I have shopped here now since it was established. I have had only one less than helpful experience, which was when I purchased a headboard. The female assistant at the checkout was sensitive to my needing a can to walk and asked another male assistant to help me out with the item. He refused, saying it was company policy that he couldn't do so.nnOn every other of the very many occasions that I have shopped at Aldi I have had nothing but courteous and helpful treatment, including even from other customers - it seems to me that they are a 'different breed' to many of those who regulaly shop elsewhere. Perhaps the mood and attitude of retail staff also can insinuate itself into how customers act.nnPrices are *definitely* and consistently cheaper than at the big two for similar items of similar or better quality. Yes, the range is not as vast and some items are available for a limited time before a different line is stocked but I have rarely been unable to get what I needed as long as I didn't expect a particular brand product. I don't mind that, in fact I find it refreshing for it has introduced me to products I probably wouldn't have met by shopping at other stores.nnThe 'special buys' offer a bonus to those who may need other than food items. Some are excellent buys and others not so good but I've never seen poor quality goods sold as specials and often found excellent buys.nnYes, I still use other stores for some items but almost always check Aldi first and I *know* that it has saved me a considerable amount of money, helpful as a low income pensioner, and made the shopping experience better - important to me because my difficulty with mobility and age makes shopping a demanding task for me and one I dislike.nnTwo improvements I'd like to see:n* A larger car parkn* A delivery or click and collect service, even if limited to those with a mobility or other disability issue or the house-bound - or alternatively, perhaps an hour or so time period limited to those with a pensioner or similar card, such as was offered by some stores during Covid, to give those clients a slightly easier chance to shop.nnHowever, I have no hesitation in recommending Aldi and based on my long experience in shopping there, as well as elsewhere, I find it difficult to reconcile any particularly negative experiences reported in review with my own positive ones.
Worst Experience Ever – Rude and Accusatory Staff!nnI had the absolute worst experience at ALDI. The cashier demanded to check my bag, claiming they needed to see if I had taken anything—despite the fact that my bag was ridiculously small and couldn’t even fit a single item! It was humiliating, unnecessary, and outright insulting.nTo make matters worse, the staff were completely unhelpful when I was trying to find what I needed. Instead of assisting, they treated me like a criminal for no reason. This is beyond unacceptable. If ALDI thinks this is how customers should be treated, then they’ve lost my business forever. Disgraceful.
I always enjoy shopping at Aldi, the people are polite and friendly
Friendly staff. Lots of product to choose from. Affordable products. Parking available. This ALDI is a bit small. Counter don't have big space. You need to pack your own groceries. You need a dollar or two to use a trolly as usual ALDI. But you'll get it back once you return the trolly ofcourse.
