I avoid going to Albion especially at night because the trains seldomly stop here. Instead you have to exit at Bowen Hills or Eagle Junction which is quite a walk from the neighbourhood and a very precarious walk to do at night as a petite woman.nnMoreover, the buses often don't arrive here on Sandgate road after 6pm. There is either a 30 minute wait or a 60-90 minute wait if the bus fails to arrive at all.nnGiven that my phone doesn't support Uber and neither does my trust account, it's illogical to always take cabs here. So, I ceased venturing here in 2019 and I never regret it.
Great train station.nnServes the Inner Brisbane suburbs of Albion and Windsor.nnIt is a central stop on the Shorncliffe/Cleveland, Gold Coast and Airport lines.nnAverage wait time between trains on all lines: 5 minutes
Yesterday I waited over twenty minutes for a rail bus which took forever to get to Bowen Hills. Isn't there a quicker route?
You never have to wait longer than 10-12 minutes for a train to or from the city.nEvery train from every line except the Ipswich and Beenleigh lines pass and stop at Albion Station.nI travel from and to here most days, and have never had to wait longer than 8 minutes or so.nNow I haven't even brought up the best part yet. Albion is one of the few stations that still has an attendant - even early on the weekend. And the staff are friendly.
The station itself is not too bad the problem is that if trains are running late they randomly decide not to stop at the station. This means that if your next train is in half an hour for instance on a Friday morning going to Cannon Hill it can mean that you can wait more than half an hour. This obviously makes people late for work. This is discrimination against people who live in or near Albion. If the train is late everyone should be late rather than skipping stations to improve rail stats.
