Situated in beautiful heritage listed Adelaide Arcade, we have been selling hats from our retail premises for over 20 years.

There are hats for every occasion and every budget. Hats are available in store, online or made through our bespoke millinery service. Our service encompasses anything from an Akubra stretch to the most elaborate bridal or Melbourne Cup piece.

I bought the Coorong Akubra from them years ago, lost it while travelling, and couldn't find anyone who could replace it. They were able to find it, order it, and send it to Melbourne. I couldn't find that specific Akubra anywhere else. They went above and beyond to help me. Knowledgeable and helpful.
A decade ago, I scored a classic Akubra in fine condition at an op shoppe for $10. Unfortunately, it was size 57, and I'm size 58. Took it to Adelaide Hatters on Saturday to be stretched and today, six days later, I picked it up. Now it fits me perfectly, and has been reconditioned and given a whole new lease of life - better than new. To say I am absolutely delighted would be a gross understatement. The word for the day is GRATITUDE - in bold caps.
Penny the milliner did a fantastic job of repairing beloved hats that were ruined by removalists!
A really great place with knowledgeable and helpful staff. The range is fantastic and the way that the staff help you to choose a product without the slightest bit of pushiness is a credit to the owners. With certain products being out of stock the store offer to hold a product once it comes in, in order that you can go and try it on once it is available. Really great customer service in a central location. Definitely visit here if you would like to purchase a high quality hat.
Went there looking for a hat to go out bush with. The lady was friendly and helpful, and listened to what I was looking for and took my price range into account. She helped me try a few hats until I found the one I liked the most, and suffice to say, I left the store really impressed and happy. When I got home I decided to take the tag off, so I did, and saw a strip of whiteout on the tag which had the price I paid printed on it. When I scratched it off, it revealed a price $40 LESS than what I had paid.... I was shocked and pretty angry. I further confirmed this by looking on the website of the brand I had bought. There is, of course, a price for excellent customer service which I surely received, and I'm sure it's very expensive to lease in the Adelaide Arcade, however $40 extra is a hell of a price to pay, and it's downright immoral. I absolutely won't be back despite wanting a few more hats, and I have told many of my friends to steer clear of this store.
Akubra stock very poor and both staff members very rude. So we left and went to Allington's which had a fantastic range and the staff were very friendly and helpful, we walked out with 2 hats.
Good range of hats and tie wraps for people going through chemotherapy. Staff helpful and polite
The staff at Adelaide Hatters couldn't have been more helpful! They made our hat buying expedition a fun and enjoyable experience, they offered sound advice and we are extremely pleased with the outcome. Highly recommend.

I love this shop! I'm from out of town and I make a point of checking out their stock when I am visiting Adelaide. The service and range of hats is fabulous!
