Consisting of over 80 independent stallholders and is South Australia's most visited tourist attraction.

The Adelaide Central Market remains the food Mecca for multicultural cuisine and fresh produce. The Central Market trades largely in fruit, vegetables, small goods, and café food and is divided into a colourful array of lanes and broadways.

The Central Market today remains “the Heart of Adelaide" and is a treasure trove of characters, colour, history and stories.

Busy and bustling market. Lots of fresh produce, seafood, meats, veggies, fruit. Not very many places were doing samplings when I was there, and inflation certainly is healthy, especially at the little eateries inside the market. Can't wait to see the place once the renovation is complete.
This is a popular place for tourists. They also have guided tours of this market.nnThere are various types of food stalls, bakeries, fresh fruit and vegetable shops, meat & fish shops, and so on, inside this market.nnAdelaide cbd, botanic gardens and other places of interest are located close by too.nnParking can be difficult depending upon the time and how busy the market is, but there are paid parking areas nearby.
Absolutely love this place, right in the heart of city. They have wide range of local produces, fresh products and plenty of carpark
Closes on Sunday and this market is an interesting concept which I don't see in many countries or maybe only in Australia, where you can get fresh fruits, chocolates, nuts, pastries and even books.nnA place where regulars seem like they are there to have a stroll and catch up with one another, since there are eateries and cafes located within as well.nnI love the vibrancy each time I head over.
