nnDoesn’t even deserve one star. Unfortunately, one of the rudest customer service experiences I’ve ever had.nnI went to Access Canberra Gungahlin to transfer my Victorian licence to an ACT licence and was served by a staff member whose name I believe was Kimi or Kini I’m not completely sure of the name. She was extremely rude, dismissive and unhelpful throughout the process.nnWhat disappointed me most was the licence photo. She rushed through taking it, and I specifically asked her to please make sure the photo was taken properly and, if possible, show it to me before finalising it. Instead of acknowledging my concern, she was very dismissive and made me feel like I was being unreasonable for even asking.nnWhen I eventually saw the photo, I was shocked because it barely looks like me. This isn’t some temporary photo , it’s on an official identification document that I’ll have to use for years. Taking a few extra seconds to make sure it was done properly, especially after I specifically asked, shouldn’t have been such an issue.nnIf you don’t have the patience to take an identification photo properly, please ask another staff member for assistance rather than rushing the customer and dismissing their concerns.nnPeople come to Access Canberra because they need essential government services. The absolute minimum they should receive is basic respect, patience and professionalism. Unfortunately, I received none of that during this interaction.nnExtremely disappointing experience.
I ordered replacement personalised numberplates for my new vehicle. They said it would take 4 to 6 weeks. It has been over 6 weeks. I have not received any notification about what is going on. Very disappointed in the customer service I have received. They keep giving me the run around. Not happy.
Booked a time online, went in was greeted and assisted by a helpful guy and got my ticket, then was called 10 seconds later, did my thing with the next person, eye test, photo and done.nnFriendly staff easy process. I was transferring my driver's license over.
Easy and accessible ACT Government services hub. So easy to park and walk in to a spacious customer friendly environment. Chairs of different heights for mobility challenged customers. Courteous, helpful and informative staff. Finally found a go to shop front for doing all our face to face government transactions. Well done Access Canberra.
They give you a 'digital ticket,' but it looks suspiciously like a paper ticket. And, while they are printing paper here like there's no tomorrow, they are a completely cashless office. So, I recommend that you don't come here expecting to use legal tender to renew your car rego or pay for a Government service. This a Visa/MasterCard shop.
