So disappointed.  We got Kennel Cough!!!! We dropped our 6 month pup off at 7am in peak Christmas period with flights to catch on a few hours later and when we arrived there was a massive sign on reception saying they had an outbreak of kennel cough.   I was rather upset as I thought an email out to all owners would have been more responsible so that owners could make a choice and try to find alternative arrangements for their pets.  I felt like I was backed into a corner by the resort and left so distressed.

I kept asking throughout our 10 day holiday how our pooch was doing and they kept assuring me she was fine but fussy with her food.  24 hours before hand again i emailed asking about the health of our dog and was reassured she was healthy and fine.

As soon as we got her home she was showing signs of full blown kennel cough and ended up in emergency as the cough was so severe.  Our vet advised that this was definitely kennel cough in its most chronic stage which makes me wonder if they looked after her at all.

There is signs on the door stipulating no visitors or checks available and the fences are so high that you cant see what conditions the animals are in.

I feel so mislead by this company.  I hand them a healthy dog and in return I get a sick one back.  Its very poor service.

Our dogs love going on holidays at Acacia Ridge Pet Resort. They are always excited to go there and return happy and healthy. They take great care of our dogs and we love seeing photos of our pets having a great time. It’s reassuring to know they are safe and well looked after while we are away. Highly recommend.

We discover them couple of years ago, since then we have been taking our dog here every time we go on holidays.It has been working perfectly for us, a safe place that take well care of our dog. More importantly, there are more dogs for her to play and integrate , which she needs as we find hard to get her friends were we live.

We left our two dogs with this company for 14days and we were told part the way through our trip that our male dog (a rescue dog) had sustained an injury and then we were sent the attached photo which was a lovely way to ruin our wedding/ honeymoon in Bali. 

When we discussed the reasons behind the injury the staff did not seem to have any idea how he got it until my husband and I asked if a female dog was on heat nearby his kennel which they replied yes. Our boy had not yet been desexed and we were very angry to hear this wasn't taken into consideration and then resulted in our baby boy sustaining this nasty injury trying to get to the female on heat.

Although the staff cleaned the wound everyday it had barely healed and once we got him home and treated his wound with an antiseptic spray it scabbed in just a few days. 

He was at the vet just last week to be desexed and the vet expressed concerns with regards to the scabbing on his face. The vet described the injury as SEVERE excoriations and ulcerations of the skin and this is approx. 1 month after collecting him from the kennel and treating daily. 

We rescued this dog from an abusive home and we have spent thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours to get him to feel loved and safe and to return home to this is after paying over $700 for two dogs to be in care and the injury being due to a lack of consideration to what could happen when you put a dog on heat nearby a male which is not desexed is UNACCEPTABLE and to add to all this we have had to try to teach him not to gulp his food down which he has never done prior to the stay at the kennel. As a massive dog animal lover I only wanted to share this review to protect others. We simply wont be taking our dogs back here nor would we recommend them to anyone.
