Absolutely awesome guy's there do a great job😁

Terrible state of vehicle being put through for compliance. The vehicle was imported directly from a dealer and previously in very good condition. Received after compliance absolutely trashed - interior trim wasn't replaced correctly, bits of broken plastic scattered throughout, one of the seats had some liquid spilled onto it, another had mud foot prints. Absolutely no care taken.

I looked for aa for my WOF so that I would get an unbias look through. As this aa centre is also a garage I did not get this. I Also think they saw me as a young irresponsible driver (22 year old uni student). They got me for front and rear bumpstops, tires, dim headlights and a squeaky door hinge. Not even kidding though, door worked fine, just made noise. They quoted me $800 for work and parts, not including finding a door hinge. 

Naturally I looked for a second opinion. Turns out I had front bumpstops. Seriously, one of the things I failed on for not having I had! The second garage took the car back to this aa auto centre to ask what was wrong with them and they couldn't give them an answer. Make of that what you will. 

Additionally they thought it was rough to fail the tires, they sure weren't new but thought they deserved to pass. And laughed at the squeaky door hinge but luckily had a spare and so fixed it more out of convenience than making it safe on the road. The second garage charged me a far more reasonable price and I went with them and took the car back to this aa where it later passed. 

So basically not my favourite interaction. I'm sure on a whole they're a decent garage and I simply got a bad inspector on a bad day but some of his calls were beyond questionable. With the number of garages in chch I will not be returning to roll the dice and see if I get a reasonable inspector next time.

Booked for 3pm and booked a courtesy car also, When i get there they say i hadn't booked a courtesy car, oh well guess ill wait. So wof booked for 3 they only actually get onto it almost an hour later and 3.45, and here i am sitting in their waiting room without the courtesy car that i booked. Annoying as hell, won't be using them again
