A Twist of Willow is more than just accommodation. We offer our guests the chance to get up close and personal with some of Australia's most iconic and friendly animals. Some of our animals you can meet on our free nocturnal tours include kangaroos, wombat, wallabies, sugar gliders, bettongs and more... Our Nocturnal Zoo/ Accommodation with a difference is located in beautiful Mount Evelyn, bordering the Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges. The owners of the property were fantastic to deal with considering so many of us staying for the weekend.  Steve and Loo are extremely passionate about our wildlife and took the kids on a dusk animal feeding tour where they were able to feed a wombat, sugar gliders, owls and other birds - such an educational experience for them.   CCTV set up in all cabins so we could watch the nocturnal animals in their habitat at night.  Steve even decided to pop in during our bbq dinner with his pet Python which the kids loved.  The outdoor bbq kitchen, fireplace, dining table, TV and lounge suites was a great area to all eat and have a few drinks.   The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were lovely with great shower pressure.  The kids loved the outdoor pool and exploring the property.  Highly recommend Twist of Willow for a great farm stay/zoo experience.

Great place. Calming and relaxing. The nocturnal park was just outside our room. It is interesting.

This was such an amazing find and a highlight from our trip to yarra. We got to pet kangaroos, besides going on the incredible nocturnal tour at the mount Evelyn zoo.

For those who are still deciding, don’t think - just book if this place is still available. The owners of the b&b run the attached zoo - so you get to stay at a zoo! How fun! Very comfortable and very clean! We had a jacuzzi in our room which was pretty incredible! Strongly recommend this place!

Was a great day/night away. Our room was great. Our son loved the pool and the all the animals. Relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend staying with Steve and Loo. They make u very welcome.  Thx for having us, will definitely be back.

Very different from your normal accommodation. Nocturnal zoo that the kids loved. Great hosts and the evening animal tour / feeding was the kids, and my wifes, highlight. Will stay again.
