My partner and I live local to the Fernglen Forest Retreat and we have found it more than pleasurable to escape to for a midweek night or two. Numerous times we have taken advantage of the relaxing outdoor heated spa, enjoying the contrast to the fresh and cool mountain air in the peaceful and secluded surrounds. The log fire creates an inspiring atmosphere and enables us to relax completely. We do not leave the property from check in to check out; there is no need to. We cannot recommend this establishment highly enough and we would describe it more as an experience than just accommodation. Full credit to the friendly and always accommodating proprietor.

I booked this place for a hens weekend away in 2016 and it was one of the best weekends away I've had in years! The setting, along with the lodge itself is absolutely beautiful. I'm already trying to work out when we can get back again.

Great place, location is perfect, spacious rooms, home among trees so very peaceful, caters for adults and children.

The Lodge - such a perfect hideaway for couples! We had a barbecue for two at our private veranda then took a dip in the heated spa just steps from the door... Settled in the chilly night by the fire and jumped into the mysteriously comfortable bed; it took us to such a deep sleep for such long hours! Feeling refreshed after sleep, prepare to enjoy a sumptuous breakfast provision from great, friendly hosts! Highly recommended for all seeking a short break in search for tranquility!!
