We purchased this pack of schnitzel from Woolworths on Cameron Road Tauranga. This looked very nice but removing it from its package the first three slices looked fine and the next two were sort of okay with a bit of fatty at one end, but as can be seen in the picture the last slice carefully hiddenwas mostly grizzle. We elected not to use it but cooked the rest, three pieces were really nice and reasonably tender but the two fatty slices were fifty percent inedible. On Saturday 2 nd May we went to the store to buy other groceries and showed the picture to a lady from the butchery unfortunately she just looked at it and was absolutely not interested. Sorry Woolworths but this is not good enough.
TRANSACTION TIME 9:37PMnnPRODUCT BOUGHT: 3ltrs milk, & 6 pack 330ml TUI BEERnnI had a very disappointing experience at Countdown Cameron Road on 18/04/2026,nnI visited the store to purchase alcohol when a staff member approached me and claimed that I had been there earlier that day with my wife, and that she did not have ID. This was completely incorrect and quite shocking. I had not visited the store at all earlier that day, and my wife was at work from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM.nnDespite explaining this clearly, the staff member insisted I was the same person. When I asked her to verify through CCTV, she walked away and spoke to the manager. The manager then approached me and, without properly checking, repeated the same accusation. She even stated that I am a “regular customer” who frequently comes without ID, which is simply untrue. I only visit occasionally, and I always carry valid ID for both myself and my wife.nnThis experience felt very unfair and unprofessional. I was judged and wrongly accused without any effort to verify facts. It was also uncomfortable being spoken to in such a dismissive manner.nnI strongly suggest that the staff and management undergo proper customer service training, especially around respectful communication and avoiding assumptions about customers.nnVery disappointing experience.
Store itself is good but the customer service is bad. I rang to inquire about a missing item, made to wait for a few minutes then they ended the call on me. Answering properly doesn't cost anything!
Good size, plenty of parking and noise level is low. Can be a bit difficult to navigate the store as there's two aisles per row and the items don't line up has I'd expect. Super quiet so great for anyone who doesn't like big crowds or loud environments.
At least, every week we shop there. Most of the items are clean and the staff is kind. And especially, vegetables are really fresh. For the first time, I bought lotto there at cosy ambience.
