Absolutely disgusted with the attitudes of the staff in this store. Arrived at 8.45pm, grabbed a few quick items and lined up. A staff member tried to goose guard a Chinese national, with her hands up in front of her saying that way the stores closed, while continuing to round her up like a sheep. What is wrong with saying sorry the store is now closed please make your way to the counter? My husband overheard two staff chatting, one stating she knows where the cameras blind spots are. The lady serving us was no better, I went to scan my rewards card to be told to wait by my husband as the lady made a stop signal with her hand above the terminal. Well hello I ain't looking up there am I, I'm looking at the terminal. What is wrong with using your words, you're not non- verbal. My husband tried to continue being polite and making conversation, much to our disgust he was met with a snarky comment- the stores been open since 7am. Do these staff realise Rotorua is a tourist hot spot? These people bring alot of $ into the local economy & being a Friday night they can expect to be busy. Show some compassion those tourists may just be the very reason you all still have a job.
If I could give 0 stars I would, arrived at 854 to get one item for my baby, to be advised by security they arnt letting people in as they close in 5 mins only letting people out. Advised I needed one item I knew where it was and id be out by 857pm still refused no sympathy no empathy. My understanding is if you close at 9pm even know online says 10pm- anyone whom enters before 9pm they must be seen to. The morals of this store is below zero, loosing out on decent money purely because they probably dont want to pay over time.
Boxing day - manic rush to get more groceries with long queues that moves rapidly. The team on hand doing their best to support all clients as efficiently as possible. Lots of parking available.
Dont go to this store after 4pm.. there's never any stock left and it isnt restocked till the next day.. get in early or go to pak n save or new world..
Sam counter check outs is very helpful and warm and cheerful.nnPastries are good too.
