An NZ flacon landed on my head!! It’s been a week since I visited Wingspan and I cannot stop looking at the photos I took from the day. Loved learning more about our beautiful and rare national falcon. If you’re in the area visiting is a must, it’s fun for all ages as well. It’s clear the animals are well loved and cared for, the space is perfect, and as a charitable trust they’re doing some really great work protecting our beautiful native birds.  Don’t take my word for it, go for yourself and see the joy these magnificent flyers can bring!

I am so glad i have finally checked this place out, NZ falcons are such amazing birds and deserves so much recognition. The host was also really knowledgable and cheerful, and the place was set up really well. Definitely worth a visit.

It is great to see Wingspan is open again after the Covid-19 Lockdown. Thanks very much for  the enthusiastic presentation we watched on Friday 30th June. Our first visit, but we would like to return.. Thanks.

Spectacular experience! This is a "must do" for anyone in the area, both exciting and educational.

Small nonetheless a place of interest for kids and adults alike. This is a conservation place for NZ Falcons. They have an aviary with few Falcons and owls and a museum of Falconery. However the highlight is falcon feeding show at 2:00 pm. Throughly enjoyed the hour and a half show. The best time to go is around 1:30 just before the show as there isn't much else to do here. It's better to keep an eye on the weather as it is best when it's a beautiful sunny day.

I submitted a booking request on their site on 2nd December 22 to see the show the next day. I have never received a reply. We leave Rotorua tomorrow 5th early. We are very disappointed.
