I waited for so long to visit Wingspan, it was definitely worth it. If you're a bird lover this is a must. The staff were awesome, very knowledgeable, and obviously love what they do. The displays were very informative and fun. I chose to have an up close meet and greet, and got to meet the lovely falcon Star, which was amazing. Well worth the trip.
Amazing experience that we loved. The show is with a relatively small group of people in two rows. During the show they bring out two falcons and one barn owl. The talks were interesting, the birds were beautiful and the staff was kind. After the show you can have a look at their other birds and the whole visit is going to take you about an hour and half. We will certainly visit again.
SO COOL! We loved seeing the Karearea and Barn Owl up so close and with such amazing flight displays. The team were so passionate and knowledgeable! We even got to hear a wild Falcon up in the bush behind us! Kids had a great time.
A must see if you want a complete New Zealand experience. Very informative & engaging. Will be going again to see the progress of the centre.
One of a kind experience being so close to these beautiful birds. Bonus being your visit supports their work in conservation, education and breeding for our birds of Prey. Definitely need to pre book for a seat and read the instructions you receive via email to know where and when to arrive. Toilets onsite and shop with merchandise. The staff are incredibly friendly and clearly love their work. Amazing birds and very informative show.
The 3 presenters were very knowledgeable and maintained an entertaining narration throuhout the flying displays. The birds were fantastic and they brought them up really close to each member of the audience. The highlights were the lure and the drone flying. Thankyou for a wonderful experience....highly recommended.
We had a great time! The staff were super nice. The birds were beautiful and the show was really entertaining. Well worth the visit.
We had a really positive experience here. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate. The birds were well cared for. It was great to see all the ways the Wingspan team keeps them stimulated and nurses them back to health. Would recommend this for anyone who loves animals and birds of prey specifically!
AMAZING - staff were freindly and well informed. So awesome watching the birds and learning all about them.
Amazing experience with the falcons and owls. Staff were great as were the talks by the keepers.
