Had really nice takeaways from here. Not greasy, not too thick of a batter and made really quick. Tasted good… The only advice I’ll give is to order on phone or in person, not online as we noticed the prices were much higher on their website. Fortunately we ordered in shop but had checked out menu online first.
6-9-24 had fish n chips as part of a large order - some 20 or so meals. It was awful- chips were soggy and very gluggy fish was dry and like eating cardboard.nThey need to use a timer when cooking fish so they get consistency. They are so hit and miss when their busy.nn6-7-24 update chips are back to normal - v- nice. Best to order when they are quiet as they take more care and cook everything very nice.n27-3-24 - just spoke to the owners. They had to buy their chips from Spain because the were none in NZ due to the Cyclone damaged crops. She asked that I try their chips again next time. I asked if I would get discounted chips for all the times I threw their Spanish ones in the bin. You guest it-- she said no. I'll keep you posted when I buy some next time.n--- ---------n22-12 2023. Just had fish & chips. Fish beautiful but they must be getting their potatoes from a new supplier. Chips just bland and unpleasant to eat. This is the 3rd time we have binned the chips. Wont buy their chips any more unless we hear they have improved. We have eaten here for 10 years and it can be a little hit and miss. Consistancy in product and flavour is what makes a great Chippy.
Average. Just moved into Whitby, trying to find a Local fish and chip store. fish was tough to chew. Tbh would probably just drive into porirua city or try another store
Always delicious foods and good services. Tried the new menu Korean style chicken nibbles and pieces tonight, they were so delicious, crispy outside and fresh juicy inside. I'd definitely recommend to all
Recommended to us. Underwhelming experience. Food was not cooked properly - fish and squid rings were not hot. Rang to tell them and was told their food is pre cooked and then fried one temperature so it's definately cooked!! Ok then...we won't be back and with that kind of service, I don't recommend.
