Great spot for an afternoon walk and have a picnic. Trails, bridges and platforms all in good safe order and well maintained. Plenty of bins and some informative signage. Trails were easy to navigate and well set out. The falls were magnificent. Toilets amd parking also available here.

Absolutely beautiful waterfall a short drive from the town centre.nDefinitely worth stopping by if you're in the area.nFurthermore there is a lovely little walk along the river at the bottom of the waterfall too.nLots of benches spread out to have a picnic or rest your feet whilst enjoying the view.
Quiet and lovely waterfall with sounds from the views above all the way down. Its a serene hiking place for alot of locals and others to visit. There is no parking or admissions. You have to hike on your own risk when you get down because foot paths are not paved on some parts.
I had an amazing time visiting Whangārei Falls, especially during sunset. The view was absolutely magical – the golden light hitting the water as it cascaded down was something I’ll never forget. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a scenic escape close to nature.
